Well, I really just needed a striker to replace Joelinton, as he didn't play well for me anymore and I was complete done with him. When I saw his sbc, I thought, just like everyone did 'bad ig's'. No. No. Just don't. I got him just because I was done with Joelinton, I thought he couldn't be worse. I spent about 70k on his sbc, because I got a lot of untradeables I don't use. In my first game, against a friend, he scored 2 goals. Both from 30 meters at least. The first one was just a long shot. When I got the ball with him to score a second goal, I flicked the ball behind me and he just volleyed it in, straight into the upper right corner, from at least 30 meters distance. That was just the beginning. This guy can score from anywhere as soon as you are at the opponent's half. He scored around 15 goals for me and 12 of them where from outside the box. At first: his pace. It doesn't feel like 93. At all. I used the sniper chemistry style and it feels like he has around 75 pace. It's useable, but not as much as you would think. Maybe it's because of his agility. His shooting: well, just press the shooting button. 86 shooting is a straight up lie, even with sniper. U REALLY, I mean REALLY feel the 99 shot power. This guy doesn't shoot, he fires a rocket. From anywhere. Inside the box, outside the box, from every angle, he bangs them in. He has 3* weak foot, but he doesn't care much about that. He can score with his left foot perfectly fine. I screamed a lot to my TV, just because my man scored. Passing: it's good, not great, but useable. Dribbling: he dribbles OK, but his agility and balance aren't the best. He only has 3* skills, which doesn't help, but you really don't have to dribble because you can just shoot. Defence: This is also very useable. I love it when strikers just get the ball of defenders, even icons. He has 75 standing tackles and u feel that. You could even use him on CM, and it wouldn't be a problem. Don't mind his other defensive stats tho. Physical: Man is a beast. Nobody gets him of.

What a player!!

I have a bundesliga dominated team and have struggled all year to find the "perfect" striker for a reasonable price.. I've played with Lewandowski, Werner 1IF, Jovic 2IF, Joelington FFS and 88 Reus.. each have different qualities but I needed a striker to have it all.. pace, strength, heading and finishing.. there came Esswein!

fine stats, foul ingame

I was very exciting about playing Esswein, because I'm a big VFB Stuttgart fan. Sadly there was by now just one playable Stuttgart player avaible (Pavard).I got more and more excited as I saw his card stats.
