Good Target Man
By Rorstar44, 09-04-2019

I play Morata in a 4312 with him partnered up with Bale and Promes playing at CAM. Morata wasn't my first choice as their are almost an infinite number of La Liga strikers, I tried IF Williams, MOTM Rodrigo, Costa, Griezmann and Uel Moreno. And they were all impressive but I wanted a more of a target man to win headers, Morata being one of tallest strikers in La Liga, tied with Costa and Costa is a bit slow for my liking so I opted for Morata as he had a bit of extra pace but had far better jumping and heading accuracy. Going into a game the first thing I noticed was pace or a lack there of. He is faster than Costa but is nowhere near Bale's standards so I resist passing him the ball on a counter attack unless he is in a lot of space, his main issue is really the acceleration because he will struggle beating defenders off the mark, so I really only pass to him when I am building up play or he is in a position to shoot. Morata’s Balance and Agility stats are very poor but it doesn’t reflect in game, they aren’t his strong suites but they still seem decent in game. His stamina is very poor and struggles to last the full 90. But his shooting is very decent with 86 finishing and 90 positioning he will score everytime he has a shot in the box, but avoid long shots as its not his strong suit. But he really is incredible in the air and  is really one of the best target men in La Liga. Can shoot with both feet but can miss a few on his weak foot.

Absolutely brilliant... in time

Alvaro Morata is brilliant. I’ve used him for a lot of games and have only felt the need to swap him out for another striker recently. For his price (next to nothing) he is class in the air, scoring many goals from crosses and corners. He’s strong on the ball but also good at dribling which means it’s hard to take the ball of him. 86 sprint speed means he’s no slow coach either. If you have a small premier league or...
