89 - FUT Birthday

More like 93 OVR. Insane Value.

When this card came out I was like "Oh it's 89" and "Hahaha, so his 89 OVR includes a buffed shooting stat"

Then, a week or so later, while I was grinding towards the SMS objective, I realized that these Fut Birthday cards are NOT intended to be used on their face (original) positions, and are to be abused in that ever-so-common-position-change-in-game thing.

At the time, I had liquidated my squad to reinvest, and while I was building up again, I observed this card - to move in game to CB - and was soooo surprised ! Putting aside the shooting stats, take a look at Pace / Reaction / Composure / Jumping etc. He's completely above the current RTTF, and possibly better than the beloved POTM.

I purchased him, shifted him as CB using dynamic tactics and haven't looked back. Until this day, my choice of a non TOTY CB would have been Militao for obvious reasons, but now Fut Birthday VVD has taken the crown. Anyone using any of his IF cards should sell and buy this. Noticeably better, much smoother & quicker (97 pace with Shadow). And due to it's relatively low price, shouldn't lose much value when TOTS arrives. Strongly, strongly recommended. 10 thumbs up.

By far the best cb in the game, he wins every Ariel ball. He makes every tackle and has a medium medium work rate and therefore he wont push up too far. He's very strong and that shows on his card with his 92 strength. I mean, where should i start this? This man with shadow is just the best cb ever (i play him in 250k prem squad with potm hazard and lucas in). I had 150k and i were thinking that should i go for vvd or walker, and i went for vvd, and oh boy, this guy is an absolute rock as cb, he's way better than umtiti for example. You don't need any other defenders

Need a wall for your team? This is your guy. When I first saw this card I wasn't sure if he would be a good choice right before TOTS but honestly, him next to my 93 cannavaro and I feel so comfortable in defense. honestly, he is 100% worth the price and will make your team so much better. Just like in real life, he will completely revitalize your defense.
