I did the SBC for this card hesitantly because Dries Mertens TOTS was also available at the time. Historically I have done well with smaller and more evasive players (such as my TOTS Messi and TOTS Dembele, but I assumed that because of Depay's strength, he'd be the best of both worlds. And man oh man was I right. Depay is evasive, makes the right runs with his H/L work-rates, and the 5 star skills helps score broken goals alongside his 99 shot power. As a player who typically hits Elite 1 in WL, it's important for me to use players that play well even in bad ping conditions, and he does this to a T. His touch, first time shots, acceleration, and strength make him more lethal than CR7 (with whom I used for over 900 games, with 767 goals and 342 Assists). I use him as a ST, as I think he is most usable in the heart of the finishing. My in game team is as follows:

Pace: You can feel his acceleration, the strength as he holds off defenders and resists the broken AI defending stabs. Despite this game's broken mechanics of catch-up defending, Depay still manages to outpace the best of them. He feels most similar to my TOTS Messi, who is undoubtedly broken.

Shooting: The main stat that I feel is the 99 Shot Power. I use a finisher chem style on him so the majority of his Attacking/shot stats borderline 99, but 99 doesn't always mean masterclass. However, he is a masterclass finisher. I use 'fast build-up' as my tactic, and he is great at holding up and burying finesse shot outside the 18' or break away 1v1. The most comlaints about this SBC is the 3* WF, but let me reassure you that he finishes well on both feet even without Green timed finish, The man can score, which is why he replaced my CR7.

Passing: My playing style suits to hold up play until I have a clear first time towards the 18' and break aways to punish those who use constant pressure. He passes incredibly, although I will say that he struggles to pass in extremely tight spaces. Gullit, Messi, and Ronaldinho are players that I look to for the tight passes, as they have an innate ability to get passes off in unique ways. I would be remissed if I didn't mention his FK stats...The man has a base 99 SP, 99 FKA, 98 CV....dude can put the ball in the back of the net easily from the spot.

Dribbling: I could go on and on about this man's dribbling. The stats don't lie in the slightest. Behind 99 Messi, he is my go to dribbler, even in front of Prime Ronaldinho. Throw that right stick in a circle and watch him go.

Defending: His pace and strength make him a defender from the front. He is fast and strong enough to win the ball and take it past a defender he has just robbed.

Physicality:The stamina is enough for 110 minutes, it is enough for him to go the whole game plus some. The main highlight here is the aggression and strength; dude is stupid fast and goes after every single loose ball. His pace plus this strength is just unfair.

Traits and specialties: Nick from RunTheFutMarket made a video discussing the importance of the traits and specialties, and I feel like he makes many valid points. I feel comlpete striker and poacher the most, but he is absolutely strong and a FK specialist.

His touch at times can let you down. On break aways he can make a large touch and the GK will collect.

Dependent on your playmaker, they may overrun him.

Heading isn't the most reliable, but he can score.
