Amazing Value

As I was in the process of making my squad, i needed a center mid to link to Neymar, so i went and did his sbc, but then i changed my mind about Neymar. however Paulinho is still in my team. he is a fantastic CM and a very good CDM. He tends to go forwards no matter what instruction you put on him but he tracks back and is never caught out of position on a counter attack. I play him at LCM with baby Blanc at CDM, and he is the offensive minded center mid in my team. His pace with shadow on him is very good, helps him get away from players after you've done a heel to heel or the L1 fake shot , very overpowered with him. his shooting is very good, finishing is good also as whenever he was on the end of a passing move he was able to score easily with low driven shots. His longshots tested the keeper, even though i rarely took them with him. His passing is good, although when he was in a position to cross after doing a 1-2 with the cam or the striker, his crosses were not amazing. except of course if you use the scoop up cross (sigh). His dribbling is good, not amazing, as his agility isnt that good, however it doesnt disadvantage him as you can use the l1 button to keep the ball close to his feet and just rotate his body, his strength will keep opposition players from taking the ball off him, its like you dont even need to hold L2. His defending is amazing, as he is always there to intercept a pass or make a tackle, and he hasnt gotten a red card yet. Which brings me to the best thing about him, his physicality. He wins every single header from a goal kick, literally every one. Hes definitely a danger on corners. He also lasts the entire game even if you go into extra time with his stamina.

-His agility isnt the best, and if an opponent pressures you with no passing option he may not be able to turn in time to keep the ball.

Jack of All Trades, Master of Everything

I was a little reluctant to shell out 20k on Paulinho at this stage of FIFA, but simply for what you get from this guy, he's a bargain. I've played 90 games with him( Across weekend league, divisions and squad battles), scoring 25 and assisting 20, playing him in a deep CM role in a 433(4). The complete package

Paulinho doesn't mess about.. simple. He stands out on the pitch and is overlooked so much imo. I've tried Fabinho, Casemiro, Milinkovic Savic, Kondogbia, Fred, Allan etc, and although they are good, they are nowhere near as close to the level of performance Paulinho provides on a consistent basis.Honestly, you're paying at most 15k for a centre mid that is going to transition defence into attack with ease...
