His weak foot doesn't Mata

Pace - Let's be honest. Mata is not the fastest nor the slowest CAM in EPL. He is just fast enough to keep up with an attack, but don't expect him to make great runs towards a goal when needed. To save his pace from telling it's bad, I can assure you. He will be in the position when you will need him. No matter if it's at the beginning of your attack or inside the penalty area. HE WILL BE THERE FOR YOU.

Dribbling - Ohhh, boy. He is really decent in terms of dribbling skills. It totally overshadows his lack of strength. He can keep the ball to himself, make quick turns and even with simple tricks you can move towards the goal. Six players defending in penalty area? Good. More players to have fun with!

Passing - simply put- it's what I would expect with CAM in 4-3-3 (4). Perfectly links my Stay Back While Attacking CDMs with the rest of the team upfront. Had a few nice through balls to my wingers to start a "score" chance for my POTM Vardy.

Defending - doesn't exist at all. What's more with that Heading Accuracy of a mole and FIFA 20's lack of headers it's almost impossible to score anything with Mata. He missed 2 or 3 perfect opportunities.

Shooting - here comes the best part. Many of you would say, that his 3* weakfoot is what pushes you away from making this SBC. Trust me. It's not as bad as you might expect. Yes, he might miss some, but when you roll the ball to shoot with his left foot, damn, just damn. Shoots almost as good as De Bruyne, and definitelly better than Eriksen. 94 positioning, nice dribbling and 93 composure makes him a perfect guy for creating oportunities inside the penelty area.

Physical - He can jump quite high, so being 170cm is not that bad. Sadly his strength is non existent. If you are not a "dribbling type of player" you will hate how easily Mata is pushed away. But his Stamina, well... People in WL might hate you in later stage of the game when Mata is still able to play, pass through balls without any mistakes and keep up with the game. Even in overtime. 94 Stamina keeps him "cool" all the time.

Summary: Right now futbin shows me 129k for PS4 (that's the platform I am playing on). Is it worth spending that amount of money just before Black Friday? It depends. If you are using Eriksen or someone worse you definitely should try out Mata. You won't regret it. Do you have money for De Bruyne or you already have him? Nah, Mata is not your guy. I made Mata SBC, because Eriksen was not enough for me, and I already sold Belgian CAM Master before upcoming market crash.

Work rates - Med/Med sounds scary, but trust me. At least for me he is always there to carry my team. Just keep him on "Stay forward". Otherwise you will feel that Med is not enough.

You might need to use him as "possession keeper" while looking for opportunity

I just want to make it clear that I had to do this SBC as a big United fan, but I'm going to try my best to be bias-free. I'm a divison 3 player so take that into consideration. Wow. Talk about value for money.
