Absolutely Fantastic

When the game started I first used Ake and my god he was fantastic, especially for a starter card but eventually I packed higher rated defenders and stopped using him. However since then I don't think I have found another defender as good as him so far, bar VVD and other icon CB's and I've tried Ramos, Varane, Lenglet, Hernandez, etc.

While he's not the biggest, quickest or best defender - he is the best all-around defender and can do it all at a high level - I use him with a basic chemistry since he's seems to perform best with it. M/H workrates means he's always back so ideal for a CB at least.

Pace: 78 with 75 acceleration and 80 sprint speed means he can deal with most attackers fine.

Shooting: 55 but is a non-factor.

Dribbling: 76 is more than fine for CB and he's good at bringing the ball through the midfield if needed.

Passing: 73, with 82 short and 78 long passing is fine for a CB, he can play the ball to my midfielders or fullbacks easily but I never use him for anything more than that.

Defending: 85, now is the key stat, it honestly feels like 90 minimum. He actually has 81 interceptions, 87 defensive awareness, 87 standing tackle and 86 sliding tackles and is only lower because of his less average heading accuracy (76) but he is a monster. Constantly wins 1v1's, gets in the right positions, wins the majority of his tackles and blocks shots like Neo in the Matrix.

Physicality: 80 - 83 strength and 95 jumping means he's strong enough to win most tackles and can jump pretty high, however at 5'11 don't expect him to always win headers, especially against taller opponents and again, he will likely lose out versus much stronger opponents. 74 Aggression is acceptable and 75 stamina is also enough for a CB.
