Review:

So I sold my account and started over. Which allowed me to try out a bunch of cards I would have never touched with my old 22m team. One of these cards was Martinez TOTGS. He came on my radar when he scored 4 goals against me pure on his own class. So when the time came that I was going to build a 250k squad he got a slot as my lone striker.

So let’s get into the specifics. I chose the Marksman chem style because I just love it. Boost pretty much all shooting stats evenly, gives a nice dribbling boost and a little physical, which Martinez doesn’t need. I considered the Sniper chem aswell, however the lack of a long shots boost with the Sniper chem made we go with Marksman in the end.

This card made me feel like I was using CR7 for the first time again. He’s fast, strong, has an amazing shot and overall just feels overpowered. He really brings something else. The G/A stats speak for itself. I’m never a big scorer with just one player and not many cards get more than a 1:1 ratio with me. In Fifa 19 the only ones that did were: FB Zlatan, CR7, Cruyff 95 and R9 96. But Martinez just bangs it in left, right, with the head, on the volley and once even with his back.

He’s such a strong player, but still so agile. Which made dribbing with him a lot of fun. Half the time when I executed a skill move wrong, he still muscled past the defender. His balance is a bit on the low side for me, but it wasn’t a huge drawback and I didn’t notice it a whole lot. Once he is away defenders can sometimes catch up to him, but not that many can actually get him off the ball.

What I did notice was though, was his passing. He. Can. Not. Give. A. Through. Ball. The 8 assists he gave were all clasic fifa goals 2v1 on the GK pass to the side and slot it into the empty net. For me that was a huge drawback, because I really like to involve my striker in the build up play. However I adapted my playstyle for him a bit and it paid off.

Rating: 8/10, Overall I had a whole lot of fun playing with him, but after 5 days it is time to move to a bigger budget team. I’m sad to see him go, but I can’t wait for his inevitable TOTS, which I will 100% give a run for it’s money.

Value for coins: I sniped him for 33.5k when he was 38.5k. I sold him for 31.5k and that's just too cheap for this card. You get your money's worth, 100%.

finishes everything

I bought Lautaro Martinez just a few hours after he got release for 120k, just because i did not want to wait any longer to use his card. Despite knowing that he now goes for around 80k, I don't feel like I payed too much for him, considering his outstanding abilities in game! I normally switch to a 4-2-3-1 formation with Martinez the striker and Mertens as the CAM.

STORY OF A GAME CHANGER.

So, where do I even start with? He's just amazing. Used him this whole weekend league as a lone striker in 4-2-3-1 and he carried me to my first Elite this year (Usually i'm a gold 2 player), he's just phenomenal, If you are not convinced because you think he could be clunky just trust me, he is not. His shooting is pretty much immaculate, his pace is devastating and he's not even bad at passing, his 84 defensive awareness ...

Argentinian god

The only reason I do this review is because of the guy who rate this guy with 3 stars, criticized his finish and used the words "keep your hands off Lautaro". The truth is that Lautaro Martinez plays like an icon. 30 goals in 18 games in Weekend League for me (I'm a div 2/3-player). Martinez keeping center backs like VVD of the ball, he outruns his opponents and seems to always be in right position. I can't se...
