For 3k and great links to some of the best defenders, you cant really go wrong. but its much more than that.

played 3 WL with him and pretty much flawless, tried courtious but he made a handling error within 3 games.

prehaps areola is that bad he doesnt try compliacted stuff just pushes it away from goal.

Has THOSE GAMES where he saves everything, i know its ea aids but he has more of these games than other keepers, like OP Butland

Consistent, ugly save style but always gets the ball away from the goal, few rebounds or half saves.

Amazing reactions/1v1 saves

not great in the air, but doesn't need to be when crossing isnt meta

Bang for the bucks

Extremely good for his price, just as in FIFA 19. Will make incredible saves. I have Ter Stegen as an investment but use Areola instead for his superiority.

100 game review

After 100 games of rivals with Areola I can honestly say he is a bit of a disappointment. For 10 games in a row he single handedly wins you a game by stopping absolutely everything. Other games he may as well be out for tea because the goal is basically open. He will make absolutely amazing saves and it makes you think "wow, this guy may actually stay in the team for a month or two" and then in the next game he lets a 40 ya...
