13 tokens is he worth the grind ?

You open the Icon Swaps tab and you see Maldini for 13 tokens... you come back to the last page and yes ... Price icon pack is only 9 tokens. Then you see Kaka for tokens and asking yourself if you should go for Kaka + icon pack or Maldini + icon pack.

Let me tell you. I bought Petit moment, Cannavaro Moment, Mid Dalglish, Mid Maldini and Mid Maradona to really try them by myself.

Straight away he is the best option for icon swaps. This guy is playing next to my Ramos moment 93 and let me tell you that he is doing the job well. Pace is here, strength, positioning. He feels great. However I have noticed 4 things:

a. I don't know why but you must play him with shadow. Huge difference from Anchor and Shadow chem style. So use him with shadow

b. You must play him next to a solid a strong 2nd CB. Also I don't know why but if you play him next to Ramos, David Luiz FB or Boateng he will be great. play him with an average CB and he became a ghost

c. At some rare occasions he is doing some stupid mistakes. But very rare

d. You must control him when you are defending if you want him to be great

Conclusion:

If you are going for him in Icon swaps. yes he is worth the grind. I mean for 13 tokens you have a Mid Maldini icon and a Prime Icon Pack (I got Laudrup don't laugh please)

If you want to buy him. I think there are better options now with Ramos TOTS at 900k or Boateng FB

Solid defender

It all started when I decited to go for the icon pack, which costed 9 icon swaps. I got Ian Wright, so that grind was wasted. With 15 icon swaps left, my options was between Kaka or Maldini. Pure dissapointment

Skipped fifa 16-19 due to work and came back in fifa series in march of 2020. I needed cb and took maldini for 13 tokens. On low level he was quite good but i didnt feel that he was the person i need. By may i started regularly taking gold 2+ in wl and could afford try out maldini with different good cbs like smalling, ramos and so on.
