93 - Flashback SBC
To start off, this is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, value SBCs released in FIFA 20 so far. If you had a Bundesliga team or were considering one, this would've been a must do. I did this SBC Day 1 and have not regretted it one bit.
With that out of the way, lets get into the review. As the title says, I decided to play Witsel at CB because the CDM roles were already filled by Toni Kroos TOTSSF and Frenkie de Jong TOTSSF. He has the work rates (Medium, High) and the attributes (91 PHY and 93 DEF) that would suggest he would be excellent at CB. I put a Shadow on him because, nowadays, everyone has 99 Pace attackers and you need your CBs do be as fast as possible. He was paired with Flashback Boateng in the 4-2-3-1 and 4-4-2 formations.
Coin for coin, Witsel was incredible at CB. You can't go wrong with a 130k SBC. His relatively high dribbling (for a CB), 4* 4*, Passing, and Sprint Speed combined for an incredible CB duo for Boateng. I will say that Flashback Boateng is a distance better than Witsel but he is also 200k more expensive and also one of the best CB's in the game. Witsel didn't have the crushing tackles that make you wonder how its not a foul like Boateng, but his agility (84), smooth tackles (95), and composure (97) at the back all but make up for it. He is the type of player that you would use to manually defend and has the pace and defensive IQ to recover successfully. He also has a commanding presence on corner kicks (defense and offense) and picked up an assist or two because of it.

When reviewing goals after the match, I very rarely found Witsel to be the one making the mistake. The culprit was usually either Boateng or some DDA cheese. All in all, for the price, this is an incredible card that could play both CB and CDM very successfully.
- Smooth, consistent tackler
- Reliable with the ball at his feet in the back - he has 97 Composure & 99 Short Passing
- 4* 4* - he can play out of the back with both feet and escape sticky situations with skill moves
- Price - super cheap (130K!) for this beast
- League/Team Links - With the release of Bundesliga TOTSSF, he has many teammates to link to; including Achraf Hakimi RB who I used this weekend as well
- Needs a Shadow - you could probably get away with not using a Shadow, but you really do need as much Pace as possible these days. they cost 25k (!) so I would understand if you used an Anchor or Engine instead
- Lacks "THE" Tackle Factor - players like Sergio Ramos, Jerome Boateng, and Virgil van Dijk have this factor. They can simply bully whoever they want. Sadly, Witsel seemed to not have this factor.
- Nation Links - not that much of a con - there are plently Belgians - but if you are looking for strong links in the Bundesliga you really have to go Dortmund, which restricts squad building a little
