Huge letdown

Before Thauvin I had gold Dembele and winter refresh Cornet in his place, and let me tell you, he doesn't outperform either..

Pace:

I don't know what it is with this guy but everything he does just feels slow and clunky?

Whenever he's on the ball he can't outsprint anyone, not even gold ramos ffs.

Dribbling:

His first touch can be weird and kind of unpredictable but sometimes that works in his favor? idk lol

Shooting:

His shooting's actually pretty good but don't even try to do anything with his right foot tho lol.

Passing:

Not too bad, however sometimes he'll take a good 25 seconds to actually cross the ball after I press square so better off just cutting inside.

Physical:

It's weird but his clunkiness also gives him the feeling that he's a lot stronger than he actually is. Oftentimes he'll be challenging a wingback for possession and he'll do this weird stumbling thing that somehow straight bodies the defender and leaves him with the ball. kinda cool tbh

Defending:

Eh kinda irrelevant, he drops back a good amount.

Final verdict:

I use either Promes or Kent on the other wing and every single game they'll outshine Thauvin, even though Tauvin cost me literally 10x as much... Yikes.

Definitely wasn't worth the 200k, but oh well, at least he links with my player moments Lala (who also feels kinda slow for some reason?).

This guy is a beast! Played with him for 15 games now after I did his SBC in order to improve from Ousmane Dembele. Although he has a 3* weak foot; he is amazing as a RM (442 ingame) as he can cut inside and finesse on his left(strong) foot (as he has the finesse shot trait). I have a lot of untradeable Ligue 1 players, but I lacked a good right winger, Kalu isn't bad, but he's probably not good enough to start. This looked like a good and fairly cheap option. 86 rated squad with an IF isn't terrible, but i'd rather something like a double 84 rated squad with packs back.
