One of the best CBs in the game is literally how Pep imagines him in real life.
Prior to the Ultimate Scream event, I tested Rio Baby to decide my icon swap, and was determined to pick it until I tested this monster. HE IS BETTER THAN RIO !! And the main advantage is its dribbling statistics. Put in your mind, Rio was a beast in FIFA19 because he was strong, fast and good header, but this year the quality of the player with the ball in the feet is very important and because of that Otamendi is one of the best, would only trade him for Carlos Alberto 87.

The combination of these 3 stats is the big differential of this card. He is also a great defender, although with only 81 of strength, can protect the ball against almost all strikers in the game. Finally it's a great header, not that it matters in fifa 20.

The passes are not bad, but when the opponent applies pressure it can complicate you. His agility and balance are better than those of Rio and Varane, but are still low which makes him worse than Carlos Alberto.
