(Note: I've only played with him for a little bit below 10 games, but I think I have an ok impression of him)

So having pack luck hasn't at all been my thing in Fifa 20. Tradeable I have not packed anyone above 200k, and I am not short on opening packs. This time, it would be different, I got this beauty in my Shapeshifter Guaranteed.

I should try and talk about how he performs in-game.

He is originally a CB with this card, and my first few games I had him playing there. He was quite fun to play as a CB, but his card is just more like a CDM, and because I loved his 89 CDM, I imagined his 92 should be best played as a CDM. So I switched him to there, and wow!. He has knocked Prime Essien off, who I was generally dissapointed with, and Essien now plays with Deadeye as a CM, because there is no way, that he as a CDM can take this Kanté away. Kanté will win interceptions, he will attack players. He has an incredible 99 stamina, which really can be felt, and he just feels so agile in-game, that he doesn't need a chemistry style to boost his dribbling, so I as something I do very rarely on players, put a shadow on him, and thereby he feels so incredibly fast, and good defensive. For me he is a perfect CDM, with 6 assist in first 7 games, he has impressed me attacking-wise, he is amazing at defending, and turning defense into attack. He is just incredible.

Although he is rated 5 stars, I gotta say that he is extremely easy to take the ball from. He is small and this can be felt, when someone tackles him. His height also doesn't help him as a CB, so I'd suggest starting with him as CB only to get the chem and change in-game. I start with 5-3-2, and change to 4-1-2-1-2 (2).

So one thing I would like to clear up is that he feels much better than Prime Essien, and for me at the moment only his TOTY could knock him off his current CDM position in my team.

This is my first review, i play fifa since fifa 15 but i've never done it. But this guy let me do it. I found him in the shapeshifter pack.I think i've got more than 100 mathces.(i play with 4231)

he's a CB abd i used him in a 5221, for the 10 chemistry, after this i played him at 7 cheistry in a 433 (2), now i use him in 433 (2) but i use varane at 7 and him 10 and then i switch them. 7 CHEMISTRY ISN'T A PROBLEM FOR THIS GUY

HOW HE IS:

in game feels like a beast, he's everywhere on the field and intercept everything. he's fast (sometimes he cover my lb and doesn't mess with player like messi, dembelè and others)

he wins every tackle, he easily changed my midfield, abslute beast. i use him with catalyst

i don't have problem with his passes, it's a perfect cdm for me

has only 78 of strenght, in game fells like a 90

he last 120 minutes whitout any problem, ABSOLUTE BEAST, I RECCOMEND HIM

I packed this beast out of the guaranteed shapeshifter pack. He is an cb but in game i play him as cdm, i switch him with ndidi 87. Ndidi is a beast at cb.

Kante is by far the best cdm in of the game. This 92 kante ownes the midfield like no one else. he even sets toty kante from the ball. If he loses the ball he wil run after it until he got it back. He is everywhere on the midfield. He will never go out of my team. His pace feel like 95 at least without a chemistry style he can catch up with moments sane easily. He hes 78 strenght but it isn't noticable. His 99 stamina is one of the things that is so great about him. He can run for 120 minutes straight. Defensive wise he wins every duel. His pasing is amazing. His dribbling is insane. Everything is great about him except his shooting but that doesn't matter that much.

I never tried kante up until this point, as he had always been so expensive, but i had to know where the hype came from, so i picked up this shapeshifters kante.

In game i switch sissoko & kante, and i have kante on balanced instructions, with pressure on heavy touch tactics.

First two games: 4231

Next three games: 433 (5)

Switched him to CDM in game and he actually outshined my Prime Essien (icon swaps) in terms of defensive output. With an Engine, he's like a sniper defender - invincible one minute, and the next he's got the ball miraculously with some stroke of AI defending. Engine is the best IMO as it gives him godlike dribbling stats - which are very crucial for a defender. It lets him tackle, and then carry the ball gracefully. Obviously pace can be a little lacking at this stage of the game with that chem style but that dribbling boost is so fun and useful to play with. His aggression is super noticeable in game, though his physical aspects are very disappointing. Useless when heading which is a problem when trying to win long balls from the goalkeeper. His strength is quite noticeable too as he does lose 3 out of 10 challenges when trying to body opponent off the ball. Defensive awareness is utterly great tho.

David Luiz shapeshifters is the only other meta CDM, but doesn't have the stamina IMO to run around. His defensive base stats aren't on Kante's level as well, though he makes up for that in Strength and height. Would pay 450k for Kante or less, but I don't see it going to that price yet. 500-600k is still a little too expensive for me personally.
