Absolutely Best CB in Fifa 20!!!
By Turra1968, 11-05-2020

What can I say, this player I took to try it, I put "engine" and I played it for the whole weekend league.

He is undoubtedly the strongest CB player in fifa (and I have tried them all including Varane TOTY).

Very agile, punctual and always in the right position, a head monster often saved me alone against 2 attackers, very strong.

He also has the link for De Gea being Spanish, I must say with certainty that he will accompany me until the end of the game.

Rarely has a defender given me so much security .... he is alone in the department.

recommended to try it to believe !!!

So I've had some great pack luck this past week. TOTS Salah untradeable from rivals rewards. TOTS KDB untradeable from a PL upgrade pack. TOTS Richarlison tradeable from the Brighton league sbc I completed with players I got from the upgrade packs. This guy was just icing on the cake. I was hoping for a la liga CB to link with Reguilon objective and pair up with my untradeable Maldini (I was honestly most interested in Diego Carlos), when this guy popped out of my third 82+ la liga upgrade. Well, let me tell you: Diego Carlos has been forgotten. I'm sure he's great, we all know how broken his 86 rated UEL RTTF card is, but this Ramos is worth every penny and more. Let me tell you why.

-Ramos is incredibly fast. I have an engine chem style on him which gives him upper 90s pace and agility and balance that most centre backs cant touch. These factors combined let him easily catch up to the fastest of attackers. I can't tell you how many times my opponents have thought they were in alone when Ramos has come out of nowhere, overtaken them, and either taken the ball away or forced them to turn, hold up and wait for support.

-As mentioned, he is very agile. He feels incredibly light on his feet, turns well, and most importantly, doesn't feel the least bit clunky. As most people know by now, if you want an agile CB, go for Ramos. This also makes him an excellent defender if you're like me and you want to take manual control of your centre backs.

-He wins the ball. We all know how little strikers like Ben Yedder seemingly have the ball glued to their feet. We all know how big attackers can sometime push you off. Well, just like in real life, TOTS Ramos is a competitor extraordinaire. He makes sure he gets the tackle in and he makes sure give the attacking player a shove for good measure. You may want to be careful though, his ultra aggressive nature may cause him to go right through an opponent's ankles from behind if you're trying to win the ball from a player who is shielding (although he strangely doesn't get called for too many fouls doing this). If he doesn't get the ball the first time, he makes sure to kick it far enough away so that it doesn't bounce right back to the opponent. At that point, its a 1v1 to the loose ball and Ramos wins that every time by shouldering the opponent out of the way and picking up the ball for himself.

-His work rates are not a problem. His positioning is exceptional.

-Ramos is a very good passer and is good with the ball at his feet. I actually used him at CAM to get assists with a defender for the Reguilon objective and he held his own there. I wouldn't play him there permanently- he doesnt have the skill moves, weak foot, and defending, but he's 100% in the uppermost echelon of centre backs when it comes to passing the ball and with the ball at his feet. He's calm under pressure and always picks out the right man.

-He has excellent links. Militao SBC, TOTS Varane, TOTS Reguilon (a "free" end game LB), TOTS Carvajal, TOTS Courtois, TOTS Casemiro, etc etc, along with a whole host of soft link options from la liga, and any icons you might have. I currently have him paired with middle Maldini who I got from icon swaps at CB and they make a fantastic duo but I can easily slot an upgrade for Maldini in the form of Varane or Militao into the team when im ready to do so. I suspect he would pair well with almost any centre back you choose to link him to.

-Ramos might be the best CB I have ever used, and I've used almost every elite tier CB the last few years. Give him a try and you won't regret it. He has a unique skillset that will be difficult for any of the other CBs in this game to match.

Better than VVD?
By Alia14092004, 15-05-2020

A lot of players would argue who is the best defender in the game and usually, its Varane,Blanc,VVD,Ferdinand and others are on the top of the list. but this card is so undervalued compared to the prices of the players mentioned before. this card has everything you'll need. he feels pretty secure strong and has crazy dribbling on him.

Top Class CDM
By Exquisite94, 19-06-2020

So it goes without saying that he is one of, if not the, best CB in FIFA 20. I got him as my red pick and played over 350 games with him in CB and there isn't any flaw that I can point out.

I was lucky to pack Diego Carlos from my deluxe pack, but he did not fit in my team as i got Ramos and 92 Maldini from Icon Swaps. From the reviews I read, I feel that Diego Carlos is just too good a player for me to not use. So after a little experimenting with formations and tactics, I start of with 5-2-2-1 formation, starting Ramos, Maldini and Diego Carlos as CB and switch to 4-2-3-1 in game, moving Ramos as a CDM with stay back while attacking instruction.

I first had my doubt playing a CB in a CDM position, I was afraid he would feel too clunky and couldn't contribute in attacking. But I can assure anyone with the same doubts, that this is not the case at all. He is a true beast at CDM, he will dominate the middle of the pitch for you. He helps immensely with the defending in the middle of the pitch, he wins aerial battles and would overpower almost anyone. He will make your opponents struggle real hard breaking through from the middle. He is big, yet agile and can keep up with also almost anyone. I could literally have the David Luiz who played against City as my CB and with Ramos as a CDM, I would probably still be able to keep clean sheets. In terms of defending, he makes Maldini's and Diego Carlos's job a lot easier.

With the Engine chem style, his passes the ball really well. I would say he does an excellent job contributing while attacking as well. His shooting might be the only problem but I did score some goals with him and his 92 shot power definitely helps.

I think his biggest value is the presence he makes in the middle of the pitch, he completely dominates here. I cannot stop iterating how good he is in intercepting passes, breaking counter attacks, run back to help defend, and yet still does a more than a decent job contributing in attack. All in all i would say he is top class and would probably improve any team.

  • Big and agile

  • Shooting
  • 3* weak foot sometimes makes him misplace passes but is not a deal breaker for me.

CB or midfielder?
By aleredz, 17-05-2020

I was kinda lucky in picking him in my wl rewards, and obviously I put him next to my Rio baby ready for the incoming Weekend League. I don’t know if it was a matter of connection or maybe gameplay, but he didn’t seem that beast he is supposed to be according to his stats: that HIGH attacking workrate may be a problem, because sometimes he tried to run across the midfield and left Rio alone against the attackers. So I decided to use a 5221, in order to make him play as a CM (next to TOTS Kovacic) in a 442 in game, with a “stay back while attacking” role: best decision ever. He is a great midfielder, CDM or CM doesn’t matter, he is fast enough to play in that position and his defending stats are amazing to build a wall in front of your CBs. His passing is good too, you just have to make the opponents fly with a standing tackle and then start your attack by passing the ball to your wings or CAMs. Moreover, he has 99 penalties and 91 freekicks, so he’s kinda dangerous in those situations too. I don’t know which one should be his right position on the pitch, he’s just too good in doing both.

Amazing pace for a CB, good enough for a midfielder

Good passing

Those physical stats make him a wrestler

99 heading and penalties

88 agility (even more with engine)

You can use him as a CB or CM/CDM, can do both

High attacking workrate may be a problem
