I used this card in a 41212 narrow setup. I really loved his left stick dribbling around defenders and his ability to switch the play to the other side of the pitch. The weak foot upgrade to 4 star was really helpful with his ability to pass and shoot and it helped me feel more comfortable taking shots with his weak foot. Although he doesn't have the Finesse Shot Trait his finesses are very clean. He reminds me of a Coutinho TOTSSF card with the 5 star skills and the finesse shots and also the ability to left stick dribble. His sprint speed is a bit of a problem so I would recommend either an Anchor or a Shadow Chemistry Style. His Linkability is a 10/10 with cards like the Leon Goretzka RTTF, TOTSSF Lewandowski, TOTSSF Davies and Flashback Boateng in the Bundesliga and with Spanish links there is TOTSSF Ramos, TOTSSF Carvajal and TOTSSF Pozuelo. I would Rate him a 10/10 for Value as he is only 110k coins to complete and he is also a 96 rated card so at the very least if you don't like him you could use him as fodder.

BTEC FB Modric + 5* skills

Since this card is so similar to FB Modric, whom I have 400 games with, I'll compare this card to him.

AW Thiago has better Pace and Physicality, equivalent passing, slightly worse left stick dribbling (but the 5 star skills obviously makes him more dynamic), worse shooting and significantly worse defending than FB Modric.

With 89 finishing, I was shocked the number of easy easy chances he was missing... (He still has not scored a goal, whereas in the same timeframe my CDM has 3 goals) I play a 3-1-4-2 and 4-3-3 (5).

Dont sweat it

Dont get me qrong, he's a banger. However, he's not worth spending all your coins on if you dont have any fodder, ESPECIALLY if you have SH delaney. There's minimal difference between the two, and for me in my lineup, SH Delaney and SO Can have more advantages than thiago. His passing , shooting and dribbling are good, but he lacks in all other areas. Out of a rating of 10 on the "All rounded cards" i would give him an 8.5, Delaney 10, and SO Can 8. He isn't worth fretting over ONLY AND ONLY IF you have SH delaney. There is really no point in grinding and crafting an 85 rated squad specially since you have a similiar player in your squad anyways. He's a great dribbler, passer and shooter, dont get me wrong, but imo not really a well rounded card.

I was using Alcantara's TOTSSF card for a while and when De jong's card got released i knew Thiago was coming

i needed a 2nd cdm next to modric flashback so i coudlnt play him at Cam I link him with Dvies TOTSSF at Lm and with the spanish manager his on 7 chem.
