When we all first saw this Blaise Matuidi card, I believe we all had a similar reaction..."looks good, if only it was his Juventus version" I wrote him off thinking that I wouldn't be able to link him without giving something up, but then I went back to the card, and just said, WOW, this card looks amazing, I wonder what I would have to sacrifice to get him into the team. It didn't take much effort to find a way to link him. For chemistry purposes, I am starting him at Striker in a 4-3-3 with SH Ribery at LW, FB Saint Maximin at RW, and Moments Eusebio at CM (yes, I was lucky enough to pack Eusebio in a Moments pack - thank the FIFA Gods one more time).

A little bit about my skill level so you know where this review is coming from. I am a Division 1 player who is an Elite weekend league player when I can find the time or desire to play the games. (It's been hard to find that desire in FIFA 20) - Also, shameless plug, but I would love if anyone would check out my YouTube channel petedaddy as I work to grow that. Back to the review...I decided to go with an Engine chemistry style, because it would give him the boost to 98 Acceleration, and it would make all of his Dribbling stats 99. I toyed with several other chem styles that would maybe boost his Strength slightly, but ultimately went with Engine. That may not be the popular choice, but I don't regret it one bit after my games with Matuidi.

I am playing Matuidi in a 4-2-3-1 as CDM alongside Player of the Year Kevin De Bruyne. Matuidi replaced SH Sissoko in my starting squad. I have played 6 games with Matuidi at the time of this review.

My first match with Matuidi didn't last long. I was able to force a rage quit in the 33rd minute with a 3-0 win, so I was able to dribble a little with Matuidi and knew he felt good on the ball, but didn't really get a chance to try him out much.

My second match with Flashback Blaise Matuidi is when I fell in LOVE with him. He was an absolute machine offensively and defensively. It was one of those games where EA decides a lot of goals are going to be scored, and it ended up being a 6-5 win in Extra Time. I honestly feel that if I was starting Sissoko in this match, I would not have won. Matuidi was an absolute joy to play with. He felt amazing on the ball. I had no reservations about passing him the ball in any situation. His dribbling is some of the best I've used. His lean body type along with the perfect 99 dribbling stats make for someone who keeps the ball at their feet.

Matuidi ended up with 2 assists in the match, multiple tackles, and interceptions, and when he really took over the game was in Extra Time. Not that it is especially rare to have a card with 99 Stamina at this stage of the game, but it felt like Matuidi got a boost in Extra Time and was just everywhere making interceptions and tackles, along with facilitating the attack.

I would HIGHLY recommend this Flashback Blaise Matuidi. Even if you need to play him on 7-8 Chemistry, I think he would be worth it. He is made for FIFA 20 with his body type, dribbling, and movement. It is the first time this FIFA where I don't feel any drop off from my box to box midfielder (KDB) and my defensive midfielder (Matuidi)

I am reviewing 95 Matuidi as a CB (anchor) to replace my Sissoko.

Straight away, his lean body type cost me a goal in my first match with him, his strength feels less than 92.

However, of course his agility and balance allows me to deal with the Elite players that scoop turn dragback (my sissoko can only dream of that)

He feels like a BTEC Malang Sarr/ Opara.
