Tagliafico is the definition of rock solid. I was previously using Wendell to link Neres who was decent, but lacked the "it" factor for me. When I saw this card made it to the community tots, I was ecstatic to link him with Neres and hope he was an upgrade. He most certainly was. I run a variety of formations, mostly 352 and 442 and tagliafico is rock solid at any role given to him. His tackles are strong, he's lightning quick, and extremely aggressive. His passing is also top tier.On the ball he's quite silky, but I sometimes had trouble due to the lack of skill moves on him. The weak foot is not a problem though as his right foot is actually quite decent when needed. Even his shooting is not bad at all, he's only shot twice in weekend league for me and scored both times. Overall I'd give him a 9.7/10, he's near perfection and if you have Neres, he's a must.

Even though I wanted to get a bunch of TOTS into my team, I wasn't sure about getting him because I was upset of digne not making it as an Everton fan. However, the Klaiber and Neres links made me put him into my team, plus his image has these amazing glasses that make him look like Edgar Davids. His pace was sublime and I felt no problems with that. His one shooting chance he received he scored, so even though he has low shooting he can finish. His passing is really good but nothing phenomenal as he has to be on his left foot. His defending was very solid, although he missed a couple tackles but I blame that more on gameplay. I would say the only weakness with his card is his strength which isn't bad but I did notice him getting bodied by the likes of Mbappe a few times. He won't be the most insane player for you, but if you fit him into your team, there won't be very many problems coming from the left side.
I was kind of surprised to see him in, but as an Ajax fan I had to buy him, even though I could've waited for the price to drop. But, I digress. This item is really insane for its price! He has great pace, great agility, balance, reactions, composure and good defending stats. His physicals are to a good standard but they do get boosted a lot with the anchor chemistry style (the +10 on strength is really important). He can put in a good tackle or two and he's great on the turn, so he can defend well against good dribblers. He has a great cross as long as it's done with his stronger foot. Short passing is top-notch. The only minor negatives are the 2* weak foot, the height and the fact due to his height sometimes he feels a bit weaker, but this is rarely. I liked this card and it's a no brainer if you use Showdown Neres. Also his dynamic image is really nice. If you can afford him and you can fit him in your team, I'd suggest trying him out over the usual players you use on LB since he's really good!

* He is short so he most likely will lose headers even though his jumping is really good, but this isn't a big issue
* 2* weak foot isn't great but not the end of the world
* Very rarely he might feel a bit weak especially against a strong attacker, but mostly he's really aggressive so it's not a big issue
* His shooting is bad, but you don't need this as a left back. Wouldn't use him as a LM/LW though
So When i saw this card in TOTS, I knew I had to get him as I love Neres and this was the MISSING LINK that i needed. So, i decided to make 50 Player Picks and Around the 40th one, I GOT HIM!!! I was BOOMING.
He easily slid in my team over Otavio. I have so far played about 50 games with him all in CHAMPS or DIV 4. He has been Class.
To begin, Tagliafico's stats look immense. The perfect LB, the perfect kante-esque CDM. High reactions, high defensive stats all round, strength above 80. Thus, I tried him at LB, CDM, LM and even LCB in a 3 back. Let's just say, straight up, you are handicapping yourself playing this lad at CB. His body type in game feels so skinny, he never gets the all-important auto-blocks in at CB, and this is coming from someone with 1000 games on Prime Cannavaro, a CB just an inch taller than Tagliafico.
I tried 3 different chemistry styles: Backbone, Anchor, Basic and found that he was best with an anchor at LB and a backbone at CDM. But the most overwhelming issue with tagliafico is his passing on his 2 star weak foot. don't even bother attempting a driven pass on his weak foot, it fails 7 out of 10 times. This makes his playmaking abilities (for example at CDM) very limited despite the good passing stats. Even when intercepting a lofted ball at LB and attempting a normal pass to your team mate is risky especially under pressure and i usually just clear it on pure distrust of his passing. Now, its not near as bad as prime cannavaro, but he is easily far in far the second worst passer in my team.
One exception is his crossing, its top tier.
I did the flashback Roussillon a couple days ago and never looked back. Roussilon is better than Tagliafico in every aspect despite the stats. I'm a G1 consistent player btw.
As soon as he dropped i was gassed about the beautiful Neres link. i bought him for 240k and used him as a CB next to Varane in the weekend league...
He is a BEAST, great defending and physicality, can easily catch any player (Mbappe, Sarr, Neymar), has great control over the ball and can win any challenge he makes. I would say he is CRACKED.
Even though he is short, he can fly in the air...even scored two headers for me.
Tagliafico is the best CB ive used this year because of the crazy stats he has and the the ridiculous in game performances he makes.
A huge W in this stage of the game. I would recommend trying him out in this position.
