Player Review
89 - Rare
So Sergio Ramos, People will look at this card and see low 70's pace and not really consider him an option, especially for high end teams. I am here to convince you to give him a chance with my words of pure honesty...
I use Ramos mostly in Div Rivals (div 3) and occasionally Champs when i get time to play and he holds his own, if not surpassing expectations. I will start by telling you the general feel of Ramos in game is that of a wall. He is very much my defender that corrects the errors of his partner (sorry Alaba) and has the passing to begin attacks and is very strong in the air. If you would, allow me to progress into more detail.
Pace: Obviously, he isn't as the youth say 'pure rapid like' but has the pace on a shadow to compete against your Werner's and co. in the foot race if you use him correctly in terms of the defensive stand point. He is able to catch these players and preform well. Obviously from time to time, he can get left in the dust but nothing to turn you off him over.
Shooting: I won't bother saying anything other that what you want to know. He is a John Wick from corners. Get in on his head and he will do the rest. Just for reference. 62 Games 36 Goals for my team. Yes of course, there is the odd Peno in there (another pro I guess) but you want to know if he will score for you, and he will.
Passing: A defender with 76 passing and above 80 in both short and long passing is nothing to turn your nose up at. He is very good at holding possession for you when the ball cannons back from the cross bar. Ramos will deliver a accurate pass whether it be over 5 yards or 30. Lets not get silly, he is not going to go full Scholes and spread the ball 60+ yards like soft Lurpack onto fresh toast, but he will retain possession for you more often than not.
Dribbling: Not something i do with my Centre Backs as I do not currently have a death wish.
Defending: This is the Creme of the Creme with this card. He is a rock. His positioning is very good and is always in a good place to either clear the ball (i hate cut backs) or make a tackle. His slide tackling is very consistent and to my shock horror has not been sent off yet. He apparently has a high attacking work rate which is not noticeable for me. If used correctly, he will be your deepest player ready for the next attack.
Physical: What more can i say other than Ramos can jump, Ramos is Strong, Ramos lasts allllllllll night.
To wrap up, he is a solid defender for this stage in the game, i have yet to use Varane or VVD which i can imagine are just next level. However, as your just under expensive CB he is worth the money you pay for him and he will repay you in goals and goal saving defensive madness's.
