Expensive but worth it

I've used this card across 4 consecutive gold 1/2 weekend leagues and he's been amazing each time.

He feels so smooth on the ball and with his dribbling and 4* SM he can create an opportunity even in the tightest of spaces if you use him well.

I use him as a lone striker in a 4-3-3 alongside mane and lozano with an engine chem style and he's constantly making the right run in behind to play him through from the midfield or so i can play it him from the wingers for a tap in.

167 goals and 67 assists in 144 games says it all about his finishing, and i find however you shoot (across the goal, chips, finesse etc) he puts 9/10 chances away that you'd expect him to score and his 4* WF might as well be a 5. Although his composure isnt the highest and this is semi important this year, i havent really notice it having an affect.

a very good striker for me and i would consider using him for your serie a attacker perhaps until you can afford cr7.

Finishing-- scores most chances you'd expect him to finish

Dribbling and close control-- great agility in tight situatons

Pace-- rapid getting onto long balls or balls in behind, although can be caught up by a ferland mendy or varane for example.

Set pieces-- good from penalties, free kicks and corners.

Links- good links to hazard, dybala, lozano etc

Strength-- can be pushed off the ball by most strong cbs but if you aren't reliant on long balls and can fake shot and utilise his SM it won't be as much of an issue

Height-- Quite small so rarely wins headers

Costly-- 450000+ however his price is likely to hold or even increase with time and he is cheaper than cr7

What is this card...

What a card oml. He can hit any shot and play any nice pass to your players. His dribbling is INSANELY good - basically 99 pace with a basic, 99 dribbling with a basic and he has the short and lean- body type (check last fifa), so obviously he is going to be insane on the ball. It feels weird for a 5'7" player to be as good at shooting and as powerful as he is. He isn't the easiest for links but tbh even if he has 8 chemist...

Mertens is definitely my favorite player I've used so far in the game.
