R10...ish

Packed myself R10 in a base icon upgrade pack. Naturally, I slapped a hunter on him and plugged him CAM in a 4-2-3-1. His ball control stood out immediately. The combination of strength and dribbling stats really made it hard for defenders to rip the ball away and when he did lose it, he often took the ball right back. However, his lack of pace and poor workrates left him wandering around the pitch and barely making any runs. At the end of games, his lack of stamina also became apparent.

After feeling him out for a few games, decided to play him at ST in a 4-4-2 alongside IF Rashford. The results we're much better. He was great and delivering 1-2 passes to rashford on counter attacks. Playing him at ST also forced him to stay inside the box, where he could make better use of his ball control. Finishing was clinical and finesse shots were nearly as good as Messi's. Stamina was also not issue when playing him at ST.

In conclusion, I would say that base R10 is not a meta player, but can be very effective in certain scenarios. Definitely not worth the 1.3 Million coin tag he is currently at.

Is he worth it?

The answer is simple: if you want the best value for your coins, no, he isn't. There are many other cards that perform better for a lesser price and this version of R10 isn't the best fit for this FIFA's meta. However, if you're a football fan like me that grew up seeing Ronaldinho tear down defensive lines with his magic touch and you still get those nostalgic vibes everytime you watch a Joga Bonito ad, yes, he's worth it....
