MID Ballack Review

Got this from rewards, was obvs mad excited, packing any icon from rewards is always decent and something we hope for. But what i also got from this card was more than i hoped for, he is fantastic, i play him center CAM in a 4231 formation, I'm a gold 2 gold 1 player and rank2/3 Rivals and have a decent team, with Gullet and Viera as my central CDM's i had no place for him in a position he would typically play in, so CAM seemed next best option. After 105 rivals/champs games he has 58 goals and 58 assists, he just seems to dictate the play for me every game, he always finds space with cut backs and crosses, when he has the ball at feet his passing is exceptional, his long shots are fantastic and his control of the ball is right up there. I have packed some pretty decent players who could take his spot but he just feels to important to drop, i noticed him every game and he just delivers week in week out.

He is checking in at 900k-1m which does seem quite high but you get a player that can play in any position in the middle, depending on how you want to line up.

If he is on Icon swaps he is worth picking up for sure.

Positioning is amazing

Shooting is very good

4* 4* is massive

Shot power is legit

Stamina

Passing is unreal.

Pace isn't the best but he can dictate play so well from a standing spot its not all that important, depending on how you play.

Agility and Balance are noticeable some times, in a closed down situation he doesn't quite have the technique to manoeuvre out of it.

Traits aren't amazing.

I got this guy in an untradeable megapack, so I'll have to use him until FIFA 22. As a first impression he feels a bit clunky. Even that, he still being perfect in all other aspects. I decided to gamble on the icon player pick SBC and got mid Ballack. All the other reviewers seem to be playing him as a cm or an attacking cdm, I'm fairly sure he would be excellent in those roles but due to packing Ødegaard what if untradeable I had to use Ballack in a more defensive role.
