Don't replace Mendy with him

Hey guys,

I'm a Division 2, Gold 2 Player. When I packed this Theo Hernandez untradeable I was really hyped to replace my untradeable Mendy with him. So I put him in my squad at LB instead of Mendy and played over 100 games with him. Unfortunately he didn't perform up to the high standard, that I was used to, having had Mendy as my LB.

Last weekend league when I went on a 5 game losing streal I had enough of him. His poor positioning costed me many matches unfortunately. So I decided to put back Mendy in my Squad who instantly helped me gain stability in my defence again.

The stats on the card look really decent but the reality is, that he feels really heavy ingame and you don't really feel his pace. But the biggest problem that I had with this card personally, was his workrates. High/Medium just killed this card as a LB for me. I gave him Stay Back while attacking in the instructions, but ingame it always felt like I only had 3 defenders in my Squad, because Hernandez never really ran back to help the CBs at defending. Instead he always stood 10 Meters higher then the other defenders and only watched the action taking place. Also his stamina barely lasts a 90 minute match.

Now I benched him and play Mendy again. Hernandez is now my sub for the CDM/CM position. I sub him in for Marquinhos or Aouar around the 60th minute. And this is where he really shines imo. For a CDM he feels quite fast, has good defending stats and is abled to body the opponents players.

As a conclusion I unfortunately have to say that I wouldn't recommend you buying him, if you aren't running a Serie A Squad or can run Mendy. He just isn't good enough at holding his LB position and the opponent can take advantage of that very easily. Mendy is a more rounded LB after all.

- feels heavy when you dribble with him

Actually I have to say that last year I was really hyped for Theo Hernandez but at the end I was very disappointed. This year the man is an absolute beast. Idk if u watch Ac Milan matches but usually he takes the ball before the opponent's half pitch and he runs to shot, and usually he scores, this year on Fifa 21 u can do the same thing.
