Player Review
88 - Flashback SBC
Where should I start? Robben is an iconic player, so I had to do his SBC as soon as it came out. At first I wanted to play him as a cut inside RM, much like his actual playing style, but I decided to give him a go at RST to get him more involved in my attacks. With 26 goals in 7 games of WL he definitely did not disappoint. His dribbling is as smooth as it gets and the 5* skill moves almost negate the 2* WF. He can always find a way to his lethal left foot. Finesses are most effective with him, although his normal shots are also quite good. He can score a 1-on-1 with his right, but thats about it, dont expect too much here. Though if you play him in the right way, you wont need his right foot at all.
Pace 10/10: Genuinely feels rapid, like his pace suggests.
Shooting 10/10: Scores almost every finesse he takes, given he is in the right spot, and just barely misses overall. His WF is not a problem at all for me, just get it to his left and shoot.
Passing 8/10: His passing is not great, but is not a problem when playing him at ST.
Dribbling 10/10: Best dribbler I've played with so far. 5* SM really help in attack, especially when you almost have to shoot with a particular foot.
Defending 6/10: His defending is decent when dropping to midfield, but nothing amazing. That being said, I play him as a ST, so defending is irrelevant for me.
Physical 6/10: He gets pushed off the ball sometimes and he wont win most headers, but his Stamina is good.
He might be hard to link (although Van Bergen at 7 chem or Dumfries are viable options), but he is 100% worth his ~140k pricetag. Not only is he an amazing player, he has also brought back something that I've missed a lot: Fun. It is genuinely fun to play with him and bang in finesses with his left. If you are a fan of him or simply want a good card, I really suggest getting him.
