Player Review
83 - Rare
Round 2 and we are back with another OP game-changer in the holy man himself, Gabriel Jesus. This review has just been made even better by the fact that you can actually get your hands on this guy now; the recent price range fixes have brought some calm to the chaos and we can put the snipers away, for now. I was fortunate enough to have packed Jesus early on and so he quickly became the focal point for my first squad of FIFA 21… his combination of pace, dribbling and shooting the standout traits. Much like Ansu Fati, I felt like the FINISHER chemistry style was the one, and the boost to 99 FINISHING was a welcome addition.

Still trying to be ultra-careful with my ratings as I try to wade through the quagmire of new and interesting players available this FIFA; while at the same time trying to determine the META and how these cards will perform in the near future. For now what I do know is that Jesus outperformed Ansu Fati overall and therefore gets a +1 rating overall. The cards were actually quite similar, but Jesus just managed to tip the Spaniard after some excellent performances once I entered the difficult Division Rivals matches in Division 2.
While not quite as weak as Fati, this card is no powerhouse and his strength was an issue and continues to be so far in my experience. His passing is similarly poor and requires a real magician (I am loving Thiago) pulling the strings to play him into the right spaces to work his magic. Finally, the 3 STAR WEAK FOOT is actually a bit of a problem with this card. While Jesus is absolutely sublime on his right foot and his 99 FINISHING & 91 SHOT POWER was a large contributor to his 28 goals. On the left, it is a completely different story and this cost me quite a few additional tallies in only 15 matches.
