Austrain Tank aka cheap cb beast.

I decided to buy Hinteregger because Frankfurt has a 3 win streak in the Bundesliga currently and I expect them to beat Schalke, therefore I was hoping for a cheap updated 86 version. I was really surprised and happy to see that EA decided to give him just in the same week the same update. However, due to the most recent update, this review is still based on the 85 version but I expect the 86 only to be better in the categories. I play him obviously with a Shadow-Chemstyle.

Pace: His pace is decent. As soon as he reaches his sprint speed, he can beat a lot of meta players (due to his strength), however, if the opponent uses the lack of acceleration smart, a fast partner in the CB position is needed. Overall pretty decent pace though.

Dribbling: His movement doesn't feel very clumsy at all, even though he is a big man. I usually do not really have the ball on the CBs and dribble with them, it felt good for a CB though.

Shooting: Well, see dribbling. There is barely a situation I shoot with a CB.

Defending: Insane! His Defending Stats get boosted a lot through the chem style, but he is just a bully for strikers going for a longer sprint. His Headers are extremely good, he nearly wins every defensive header. However, I did not manage to score a goal in 25 division/weekend league games with a corner, even though I tried (a bit)

Passing: His Passing is good. He is no Xavi so keep in mind to pass the ball to more competent players in your midfield if you play with long balls. For my purposes, his passing was good enough.

Physis: WOW. MONSTER. Beats most players easily with his aggressive and strong attitude. Love it.

Overall, I would recommend placing him besides a little quicker CBs like Alaba or Klostermann, but he is a cheap beast imo.

i have no clue why more people dont use this card, slap a shadow on him and hes insane, he shoves people off the ball, he doesn't seem he gets beaten for pace a lot, and his defending is great, hes scored 4 goals in 34games for me, always seems in the right position for rebounds from corners. his passing from the back is no issue on either foot.

GOATED HINTEREGGER

Martin Hinteregger, is clearly not the meta of this year, but I like trying new cards. He is insane, wins headers, incredible passing, also incredible defense and strength, the only problem is the acceleration, top speed is ok, but acc it´s not his strong. in a 1v1 is impassable.

Martin Hinteregger hidden gem

This guy is a hidden gem. £0k for a player that if he gets upgraded one more time, is varane level. He feels quick and is a beast. No one can get past him. He has a very big body and is literlly van dijk from the bundesliga. Also, he will score every header. One corner on his head and your guaranteed a goal. His long passing is also insane. Definitely worth it.
