Best card in the game and wrongly so

Maybe it doesn't belong here, but his inclusion is a joke. Messi is the first, but not the last example of players who were better last year. Still, being Ea, they chose him. He seems to be their future and I am not looking forward to it. I traded the whole year for a 20 Mil team and just went and bought CR7 and Mbappé. Sadly, as he was even better than CR7 for me, he is just even more meta. This means that this Mbappé TOTY will be the best card on the game (and it shouldn't be). I will sell him, as I got no sympathy for this card wahtsoever and buy Dinho or Cruyff who played at a level on the actual pitch that Mbappé will never reach (in my personal opinion and prediction) and obviously didn't reach last year which was despite impressive numbers not the easiest for him (which is the most normal thing in the world at his age). To put it simple: The joy of scoring with CR7 was such higher and after all going for the meta and sweating through games doesn't really make sense when you could also just have fun with it.

Having said that I obviously can't deny having enjoyed what the card does. Those two in front made me nearly finish Elite for the first time (normally Gold 2 with rare Gold 1 finishes). He is a game changer, he is nearly unstoppable on the ball and has an excellent attacking AI. This means he always runs in the right spaces so that you can pass the ball to him (and then he does his thing). He is broken, a true gamechanger and I hate it.

And all of this is why I chose to review a card for the first time: You can review what the card does on the field, which is of course broken and 10/10. But then you can review the existence of this card and what this tells you about this game and the company that is in control of the game and come to completely different conclusions.

-you can play god mode, he has it all

-bullies Varane (the one thing I actually liked and wholeheartedly enjoyed about him)

-speed at 111

-98 stamina which means his speed at 111 lasts for 120 minutes

-positioning

-shooting

-passing (with Architect)

-dribbling

-physical (with architect)

-glitches through defences, it's not really fair

-5* skills (although I didn't really take advantage of that)

-flair, outside foot and finesse shot trait

-high/low

-poor gameplay doesn't effect him the way it seems to effect other players (like CR7)

-defending for a striker: he even wins the ball quite often just because EA decided he can do that as well

-losing will in future be strictly connected to your defense

-price is off the charts (although he is cheaper than TOTY CR7 and mid R9 and better than those two, so I guess this is not really a con)

-undeserved, this card has no reason of existence and angers me

-if you have the coins consider using icons and your idols who may also have meta cards that they actually deserve

-you will most likely be facing versions of him the next 15 editions (which is like Fifa 2007 to Fifa 21, if you played all those games just think about that)
