Player Review
86 - SIF
This might come as a shock to some, but this guy right here, yeah, Lopes, is the best keeper in the game. His on the ball skills are insane. I would like to preface the remainder of the review by saying I am not joking, this guy has actually scored goals for me. Alright, so I'm a div 5 player, where I play Co-Ops with the lads and mess around a bit in game when leading comfortably. Tiny but of digression here, slight tangent if you will. I use two skills with him: the fake shot (and stop) and the push thing. Those are what I find to be the best skills for effectiveness with every player. Steer the plane off the collision course and go back to the review. The speed stat is a lie. This guy outpaces any player when you use the skills effectively. His directional changes are not awful, and as a left footed player he's hard to read. Digression 2: The Awakening. If any of you have ever used a left-footed keeper like Lloris or Patricio, who are two others I know off the top of my head, you will know that they throw the ball with their right hand. It really annoys me. Now that the left-right confusion is behind us, we will push forward. As a goalkeeper, Lopes is really aggressive on corners, regardless of what instructions you have him on. His one-on-one saves are sublime, and his kicking is super powerful and accurate, both on the ground and in the air. His diving is average, but he makes a big diving save or two now and again. As a keeper, he's the best ligue un option and Portuguese option in my opinion. He's overall incredible on the ball and under pressure, as well as being a decent goalkeeper.
