First of all, im not a a pro player. i play the game casual and this weekend was the first weekend league (in 21) i played. and the last. the amount of 532 varane mendy rats is to damn high.

when this card came out i thought it would be a nice one to try out and see what the hype was all about.

so i bought him when his price range was 100k max. only to pack him a day later from a sbc (which was the first above 100k card i packed in awhile).

My girlfriend was working all weekend and with the lockdown and night curfew (Netherlands) in effect i thought it would be fun to do the weekend league with boadu as one of my main strikers.

boy was i wrong.

first i went 11 wins and 3 losses into Silver 1, thinking this was fun. after that all i faced were 532 Varane Mendy Rats who play the waiting game for a defender to make a mistake.

Had very little to do with Boadu as a player, but also very much.

Setup : 4-2-2-2

Strikers : Reinier FS, Boadu SIF (Both Stay in front, get in behind)

CAM's : Brand RTTF, Deco Prime

CDM's : Koeman, Pogba RTTF

RB,LB : Alex Telles OTW, Klaiber

CB's : Fer, Senesi

Okay Here goes :

Boadu is mostly invisible, dos not make a lot of runs and when he has the ball he gets bullied of it quite easely. as the rest of my team performed well i found boadu just wasn't there.

The only thing where boadu excells for me was in his shooting. and oh boy this guy can shoot !

in order to get this shooting chance in a 532 varane mendy opponent boadu needs to find the spaces and make a run for it. he just does not do this for me.

i found everytime he gets the ball he just loses it as he feels clunky and can not get the pass properly.

dont get me wrong i liked the look and feel of this card alot. its just isnt working for me. maybe i am not using him right...i dont know.

after about 10 games i have had enough of this card and found me switching him on 2nd halfs with Malen who performed miles better for me, so much he is motm at every game.

My Conclusion :

In the near future i do not and can not play any more weekend league's. this is because everybody plays the same style and its very boring to play against.

Boadu is a good player for people who play Casual in Div 3/4 and who just play the game casual. if you are a tryhard sweaty person dont use this player or as a supersub or something. but i think for the latter guys there are better alternatives.

this late in the game Boadu can't cut it. maybe if he gets a another IF it will be a different story.

Invisible, dos not make runs so u need to manually do this.

clunky on the ball.

passing is a big obstacle.

gets bullied easely by the likes of Varane.

Boadu or Butragueño?

This guy is insane! Got this guy in player pick and instant knew, that I needed to try this guy! Normally I can't play with a striker without 5* skills. But now I matched him with Cruyff in a 4-4-2(2). He's indescribable rapid, its hard to explain. His 95 pace and his 98 agility is just something else.

Sexy Beast

This guy is insane, that agility makes him glide by defenders with ease, which is very helpful because his 95 pace doesn't feel as fast as it should. I recommend playing him in a 2 ST formation, by himself with only 3* skill moves it isn't ideal.
