86 - What If

Can't believe he's soooo cheap!
By akaRand0mHer0, 10-03-2021

I switched from a Premier League team to a bundesliga team because I wanted to play with TOTY Lewandowski. I use a 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3(4). When finding a LM/LW, I bought both Szboszlai and Grifo thinking I would start Szoboszlai and keep Grifo as a backup since he was so cheap and still has an opportunity to get an upgrade. Felt it would a be a great investment. After a few games using both players, I sold Szoboszlai and haven't looked back. I use Hunter on Grifo as I liked the boost to his shooting and pace and he feels more agile than his numbers suggeest.

Pace:

With hunter he has more than enough pace to run past most. His acceleration is one point higher than his sprint speed and he gets up to top speed in an instant.

Shooting:

He has the outside the foot shot trait but I noticed he mainly used a curling finesse shot. His finesse shot is surprisingly fantastic. He gets so much bend on his finesse shot due to his 94 curve rating. After 27 matches with him, I can only think of one shot being off target. With the hunter card, he has 94 finishing and 99 shot power which you notice immediately. There were a lot of times where the ball was already past the keeper when the keeper would do his save animation.

Passing:

95 crossing, 88 free kick accuracy, 84 short pass, 80 long pass and 94 curve. From his position he can make all the passes well. I can't say that remember any errant passes and he pings a through ball well. His low cross is amazing.

Dribbling:

I left his dribbling alone due to his very respectable high attributes and his 4* skills. He performs most skills well. He won't wow you with his skills but he'll surprise you. Feels more agile and more nippy than his 88 agility and 97 balance suggests. 89 ball control and 89 dribbling helps him keep the ball close to his feet while dribbling.

Defending:

Won't go into the specific attributes, but he can easily play as a LM due to better tackling than his numbers say. He made a lot of good tackles to start a counter for me.

Physical:

He can't jump. Don't even bother trying. With stamina of 85 he lasts an entire game easily. As I mentioned above, he plays stronger than his 70 strength says. Also, his aggression rating is 58, it felt way higher in game.

Coming from the Premier League, I've used Mane, Rashford, 87 Son and 89 Son. I'd have no issue whatsoever putting him in their category. Almost every game he scores a goal for me and I immediately think "wow, this guy is under 40k". I guarantee if he was in the Premier League, he'd be a hell of a lot more expensive.

-Great pace

-Excellent shooting

-Very good dribbling

-Shake your head surprising finesse shot

-Under 40,000!

-at 5' 11", I wish his jumping was a bit higher to have as a far post threat

Vincenzo Grifo! Very underrated card!

So after lots of success with my FS Estupinan review, I’m here reviewing “What If” Grifo after I packed him using the league SBC method. I’m a division 2 player so moderately good at this game and I used him in friendlies and Division rivals for the Guendouzi objective and this card is brilliant! I played him at CAM and LW in the 4-3-2-1 and he was agile on the ball, and with a Hunter was lethal in front of goal! Th...
