This Giroud card is honestly broken if you use him correctly. At first I had him on hunter because I’m a pace whore, but he felt a bit clunky to me. After putting an engine on him, he feels so much better. He is fairly quick, but not a speed demon. So while he has no problem running onto through balls, you can’t breeze past defenders with him, so you’ve got to make sure he’s already got the defender beaten with his run. He’s not the most technically skilled player out there, so while he’s not terrible, skilling past your opponents probably isn’t the best tactic with him. His shooting and physical are probably his best stats. Almost any shot with his left foot is a guaranteed goal. I can’t tell you how many chipped volleys I’ve sent into the box that he’s volleyed right into the back of the net. Finesse shots however can be a bit underwhelming at times. He also has the height and strength to win most 50/50s, and shrug off most opponents challenging him for the ball. He is a beast on corners. I aim for him every time, and he heads the ball in with ease more often than not.

Overall, to get the best out of him, I’d say a well-timed through ball or crosses for the header/volley, you’ve got a goal-scoring machine on your hands.

Absolutely Phenomonal

This card is possibly the best striker I have EVER used on any FIFA game. Having played FIFA for well over a decade my previous favourite was Ibrahimovic Flashback.
