Player Review
90 - TOTS
I was lucky enough to pack Ndombele from my first five player picks yesterday, and after using him for 10 games in a fun 4321 let me tell you something about Ndombele, this guy is a beast. Rocking a cool 85 pace, combined with a combination of a stunning 94 dribbling and 90 passing this mans transition speed was brilliant, picking up the ball deep before driving at the oppositions midfield and playing a nice ball through to one of the inverted forwards with his stunning 97 vision, 95 short passing and 91 long passing he just doesn't miss them. The other major thing that changes this card is the unique body type which adds an extra element to his game, with his nice 5'11 stature complementing the high dribbling and the 93 strength.
Pace- 8/10 For me the pace was one of the most surprising assets on this card, although he has a very nice 91 acceleration, the 80 sprint speed definitely worried me, but with a shadow pushing it up to 99 acceleration and 90 sprint speed he felt more then fast enough, transitioning from defence to attack extremely nicely in the midfield, and definitely felt faster the Pogba on the other side of midfield, which really helped in a formation so dominantly won in the midfield
Shooting- 7/10 Another surprise from Ndombele was his shooting, although his 72 finishing is questionable, the great 99 shot power and 84 long shots meant that he can score and has scored for me due to these extremely high stats, that really help him gain that extra edge as a more versatile midfielder, but this is definitely the worst part of his card without any chemistry style applied to boost it
Passing- 9/10 I expected this to be good, with the face card stat lying at 90 this card met those expectations, what I didn't realise when i got him is that he boasted 97 vision, which greatly affects the ability of his through pass, in combination with the 91 long passing this gives him the edge that other midfielders just don't have, and makes him a brilliant deep lying playmaker, which is how I liked to play him the most, giving him a Pirlo-esque feel, but one that suits the meta
Dribbling- 9/10 another Brilliant thing about Ndombele is his dribbling, with every single dribbling stat being above a 90 with a face card stat of 94 dribbling this only exemplified the feeling of Ndombele being the meta Pirlo. He also has the 4* skills which makes the card feel even better and increased the ability to use him going forward, especially with the nice heel to heel and standing scoop turns available to you with him
Defending- 8/10 A very versatile defender, he reads the game very well, reminds me of a Kante in a sense with his defensive acumens, quickly nipping the ball of someone. he really filled a hole I had in my team and helped with his great defence next to Renato Sanches FB creating a very strong midfield, that was exemplified by Ndombeles strong defensive stats, particularly the 87 interceptions and 88 stand tackle, boosted to 97 interceptions and 98 stand tackle with a Shadow chemistry style.
Physical- 8/10 Ndombele's physical is one that may come as a shock, although he has an admirable 93 strength, he just isn't viewed in that way. This may be due to his unique body type, which definitely contributed to his physical presence. Another key factor may be the base 89 aggression, which was another thing that really pushed this rating up a bit. What stopped this at an 8 however is the 86 stamina, which means that he may have to get subbed off in extra time, however this did feel better then 86 to me personally, feeling around a 91-92 stamina, which is a big jump to what is shown on the card
Overall: A genuinely brilliant card, and i feel one that is well worth the relatively cheap 300k that he costs (28/04) he's becomes a genuine competitor for a spot in a high tier starting 11, a unique body type to help him and his Gullit gang stats makes him a card that I would highly recommend to pick up and try for yourself
My Play Style Recommendations:
Best position/s: CM or CDM
Best Chemistry style: Shadow or Engine
Best Links: FUT Birthday Lucas, What If Reguillon, RTTF Pogba
Best Instructions : Stay Back While attacking or Balanced - Personally like Stay Central, but thats personal opinion, you dont want him to be getting forward a lot, he's better as a defensive player then an offensive one
Passing- genuinely brilliant, and helps create that crucial chance in a tight games
Dribbling- also class, the 4* skills only improves my opinion of this, bringing him to a Renato level
Defending- reads the game very well, giving him that defensive acclaim that he deserves to have
Linkability- premier league and France, he's one of the most linkable cards in the game
Plays for spurs- bottles it
Shooting- Can Score, but lacks consistency in front of net
He's not the best in any one thing- he's great at lots of things, but he's very much a squad player, he isn't the fastest. the best defender or the biggest presence, but he can do enough to make up for it with his balance.
