I'm a little surprised no one has reviewed him by now so I figured I'll provide my feedback... maybe someone can benefit before the SBC expires. Anyway, the card is terrific. Stats are pretty darn accurate. He does truly feel very close to a much stronger Messi or Maradona. He isn't quite as spry or shifty, but is very close to that level, stronger and more aggressive. His shooting is phenomenal. I used him for the Lanzini objective and he did NOT miss. Bottom line, whenever he was in position to shoot I felt confident with pulling the trigger. Passing was very solid, no complaints there and i used him with Basic. He can comfortably play CM, CAM or CF (can't comment on his stamina since I was using him within the World Beaters mode, sorry). The only drawbacks are his height; he won't win headers, and his sprint speed. He certainly isn't slow and his acceleration is great but he will get caught up, doesn't have that top notch pull away pace. His acceleration, height, balance, aggression and strength help him "sneak in" on goal via that powerful burst and top level dribbling stats ensure the ball is at his feet when he does that. 4* skills are a bonus and 4* WF is accurate in that it is still very solid but not quite as sharp as his right. Imo, the card is meta. Oh - and he is NOT difficult to link... had to add that seeing some negative comments about his linkability. I didn't need to worry about that using him in World Beaters but already have him in two teams on full chem. He is Argentinian, come on!!!
Is he worth 200k (assuming little or no fodder)? He most definitely is! I'll go out on a limb by saying that instead of risking getting De Vrij (very likely) in your guaranteed Ultimate TOTS pack, just get El Apache. I don't think you'll regret it. Cheers and thanks for reading (if you made it this far) :D
