The doctor is op he bulldoses his way through like a bull on steroids!
I played him up top with cr7 his passing and through balls are really good
didnt feel clunky at all. His shooting is insane with hunter 9 out of 10 it is going top bins.
If your going to buy him he is best played in cam and his playstyle is for holding the ball
scoring outside the box if your opponent is parking the bus. I would reccomend only
if you are looking for a cam that can hold up the ball has strength and good shooting.
Pace with hunter (8/10)
His pace is decent enough to run through on goal and he can hold up the play
to go for the killer pass.
Shooting (9/10)
For what he is worth and what he brings to the table his shooting is amazing,
especially longshots scores screamers outside the box sending your opponent
to tescos to buy a meal deal!
Dribbing (7/10)
Dribbling is not amazing but he isn't supposed to be played in that playstyle
dosent feel clunky but it can to some. If it really annoys you can use an engine
but hunter is the best chemistry style for him.
Passing (9/10)
Passing is really good has the vision to do killer passes through balls you name it.
Defending is irrelevant
However because of him being 6ft4 and having a big stocky build with good strength
depending on what in game tactics you have he can win the ball back
for you in the opponents half especially if your rocking team press.
Physicality (8/10)
Big tall strong can hold the play says his jumping is 68 which is a lie.
Socrates will definitely score you headers because of how tall he is even
near post headers he will smash them in.
Stamina (9/10)
His stamina will last you whole game and he has good workmates high medium,
no issues whatsoever.
You can only have one of him in your team.
He is like gullit you can feel his presence on the pitch, only difference
is between them his gullit can defend and win the ball back socrates can't.
Can feel clunky to some people depending on how he is played in game.
I would highly recommend if you have the coins and need a cam
who can shoot hold play deliver killer passes the doctor is all you need.
GAMECHANGER
The presence of a Gullit on the pitch, the skills/wf combo everyone wants and the stats to back up the price.
Unbelievable player. probs the best I've ever used considering how early in the game cycle I have packed him.
If you want to compare to anyone, he's essentially a Talisca on steroids.
Shooting 10/10 - every shot he scores. most clinical player I can remember using on all my years on FIFA. this is probably down to using such an elite player at this point in the game (november). both feet makes no difference, will finish better than your striker.
Passing 10/10 - doesn't miss a pass, breaks the lines with ease. cant recommend more at middle cam in 4231.
dribbling 9/10 - expected him to be heavy, but how wrong was I.. He floats with the ball, its crazy for such a tall player to feel so agile! He's not going to have Neymar level dribbling don't kid yourself, but he's such a unique card to use..
Physical - 8/10 - most players cant budge him off, ofc your big CBs will but with everyone using the likes of gomez / varane he can body those guys quite easily...
Pace 9/10 - now i use a hunter, but i dont buy into chem styles usually. but he feels rapid, crazy how fast he gets for a 6"4 player.
Honestly cant find any..
I guess the price, but if you have the coins then I cant recommend him enough or pack him untradeable like I luckily did...
I bought this guy as wanted a different striker than the usual players that you see. It took a while to get used to him and after a few games I was thinking I had wasted my coins, but once his play style clicked I cannot say enough good things about this player. He is incredibly fun, super strong and has the best volleys I have seen in the game. I have tried a lot of icons under 1 million coins and he is head and shoulders above the rest...but is pricey at just shy of 1 million coins. I play him in a 433 as ST with Neymar and Dembele either side and he outshines Neymar a lot of the time
To add I am not an amazing player. I hang around division 3 like a bad smell and cannot for the life of me get better than gold 2 in futchamps, so if I can get the best out of him I hate to think what an Elite player could do with him.
Shooting - 11/10 - This guys shooting is unreal. Shot power is crazy and he never seems to miss. He is also a giant so headers come easy for him and his volleys are the best I have seen in the game. He can finesse from outside the box and can shoot with either foot. If you get a chance with him he will not miss
Passing 9/10 - His passing also seems to be better than his stats suggest (even though they are not bad). Through balls, especially the double tap chip balls are super accurate along with his direct passes
Pace 8/10 - not the quickest but with hunter can still stay ahead of any central defender. He is also crazy strong so if a player catches up with you then just L2 and send him to the floor
Dribbling - 8/10 - due to his size he is a bit slow with movements, but not as bad as I expected and you can still turn tightly. I have not had an issue with this dribbling and with this type of player I did not buy him to be nimble and agile I bought him to score goals and create chances and he does both extremely well
Defending -4/10 - Even though his defence stats are awful; because of his size and strength you can easily use him in a 3 man midfield, however for close to 1 million coins I feel he is wasted here
I do not think there is anything I can say is a con, however in bad, delayed gameplay he does not shine as dribbling becomes difficult with him. If he was a non icon I would not pay 1 million for him as you can get Mbappe for 300k more, but for easy links and for something a bit different I do not think you can go wrong with him. Just take your time buying him for a good price so you can sell him for a profit if he ends up not being a player that fits your team
This guy makes you wonder How? Why? What?
This guy does not make any sense. How come a 58 balance dude be so good at dribbling and turning? Why doesn't he fall? Why is he so hard to dispossess? How does that shot go in with his left outside of the box? What the F**K is that?
I used him for 67 games, he scored 132 goals, and assisted 103 goals. And that is only his mid-tier. What would happened if I used his Prime version? One can only imagine.
Everything. He's a beast and tank for me. He exceeded my expectation.
Defending. But, who the hell defend with him?
Yes, he is a game changer! I use him as a striker (false 9) in my Ned/Ger/Prem hybrid team. And let me tell you, he is a complete game changer with his 5-star week foot and his 4-star skills.
I have slapped a hunter on him, because I like that extra boost of speed when i track back). As a bonus he is also a bit quicker when moving into position readying himself to rocket that volley into the corner of the net (99 volley with Hunter).
Obviously for such a tall player, he is not the one to use to quickly get in behind, like a Werner but then again, that is not my playstyle. The reason for putting coins into the market in order to buy this guy, was to begin with that I just can’t stand all these “meta park the bus defences” and I needed someone to be able to twist and turn and hold on to the ball even though meta CB’s came from behind and bomb the ball into the net from distance, and that is what Socrates was brought up to do.
And with a price of just arround 700K, he is a bargin, compared to players like for example 90 rated Bruno Fernandes who always get suggerpunched infront of a "park the bus defence". And yes, he manage overtime as well, if you use him wisly and not hold the sprint button for 90+ minutes.
