Not what I expected, but in a good way

A few weeks back, EA released an SBC for a loan Maradona and a 50k pack. I got super lucky with a prime Petit out of that 50k.

I wasn't as excited about it as I should've been. I've already been fortunate enough to get red Kante and the DM slot is essentially filled for me. But my god, is he a great box to box for me.

I play him LCM in a 4-3-2-1, and he makes so many great runs, is an absolute rock defensively, and just solid all around.

Pace: 8/10. He's not Mbappe, but he's very very fast for a midfielder and it's definitely noticeable if you ever need him to catch somebody quickly.

Shooting: 9/10. Biggest surprise about this card. His shooting is legitimately broken for what it should be. I actually don't think he's missed a single chance that he's gotten within scoring range (gets a good amount since he seems to make runs very well). He also bangs them in with his 3* weak foot somehow. For a CM/DM, near perfect shooting.

Passing: 7/10. Definitely could be better. If you're using him as a DM, this would be less of a problem. Short passes no issue, but can't quite hit the long passes like a KDB or Kimmich would. 3* weak foot does become a slight issue here, but this isn't a make or break issue for the card.

Dribbling: 7/10. You shouldn't expect much from him here and you won't get much from him here. Does perfectly fine for what's needed though.

Defending: 10/10. Now this is what's important. Absolute animal defensively, nails every tackle and slide tackle if needed. Intercepts everything that comes near him due to the high stats and long legs. Essentially flawless.

Physical: 10/10. Stronger than essentially every striker you'll play against, he bullies them off the ball no problem. Aggressive into tackles which maybe gives him a few more fouls than another player would get but whatever. Stamina no problem despite the high/high workrates, 93 may be a little low by end-game but for now it's more than enough. His frame/body type helps him a lot here too, he's basically just a wall.
