83 - OTW
5.0
OP Allrounder
By TheBigPoppar, 22-10-2020

I'm not really sure why I bought the OTW Van De Beek since he sits on the bench but I really like him as a player and his price dropped a fair bit. I guess if he ever gets an inform I'll update this.

He is simply an all rounder, passing, pace, shooting, dribbling, defending and physical are all very good. Nothing stands out, but as a CM he can do everything and some how he manages to do everything for me. I put catalyst on his since I wanted him to be able to feed my forwards better instead of using shadow, and the pace increase is nice too. Playing with 3 well rounded (OP) CM's it's hard for them to stand out individually, I can't say he's had any screamer games but each time he plays he is consistent, puts good tackles in, some times gets assists and overall just does the job. A CM in 4-3-2-1 isn't the most glamourous position so if you're expecting someone to be able to score a ton of goals then he's not really that player, he can score and finish very well but for me he doesn't get too many chances.

His main stats are pace, passing and physical - all of which he is a stand out when in the right situation. Other midfielders I have used that I find him better than are; Henderson, Fabinho, Rodri, Dele Alli and Fred. I think Allan is better, although slightly. Having them together in the midfield is solid.

I had his regular card for a while so my stats are based on a combo.

Pace

Passing (throughballs)

Tackling

Tracking back/stamina

Headers - would be better if he won more aerial duels considering his size, and when he does win they seem to be bad passes
