Where do I even begin with this card? Lewandowski’s POTM came out today at around 3pm UK time, and the wait was worthwhile. It fits perfectly into any Bundesliga as he is from one of the main teams, but for a polish nationality, he is hard to hybrid with other polish players.
Why you should complete this SBC, you won't be dissapointed.
· 93 Shooting on a striker is insane. More importantly, the combination of 96 finishing and 91 shot power can be perfect for a striker.
· Lewa also has 89 dribbling, but with 91 composure, 91 ball control and 96 reactions. This also means he would be able to take the ball and move to the perfect position.
· 4*4* is perfect for any striker, unless you want the 5* skill moves to pull off some of those fancy skills.
· 6’0” when coupled with his 87 jumping, 89 heading accuracy and 96 finishing make him the perfect target man for crossing.
· Outside foot shot and finesse shot are perfect for a 4* weak foot striker, and can also be important for certain attacks.
· He is also strong and aggressive, allowing him to win the ball from an interception or tackle easier.
Why you might not complete this SBC:
· The requirements, an 85, 86 and 86 rated team (roughly 300k) can be rather expensive for some, which might put you off completing the SBC, even if there is a month to complete him.
· Lacklustre stamina, which you need to be careful of if playing him at striker. It could defiantly be worst though.
· 80 pace also doesn’t fit the meta as much but a catalyst can fix that somewhat easily.
· 82 passing might also put someone off but a catalyst could fix that too.
· Outside of the Bundesliga, can be awfully hard to hybrid.
The pace itself could be much worse. A striker does need a good mix of acceleration and sprint speed to match the meta, but there are other players out there that are so much worse. Applying a hunter or catalyst can massively improve this, which could bring his pace to a 9 out of 10 or maybe even a 10.
93 shooting is insane for a striker. The in game stats show this as well. The mix of 96 finishing, 91 shot power, 91 volleys and 87 long shots make him an insane striking option. If you wanted to go even more insane with this card, you could use a hunter or a hawk to bring his shooting up to 96 or 97. A hunter gives him 99 finishing, 99 shot power and 99 volleys. If you would rather make his shooting stats more even yet op, a hawk is perfect. The hawk chem style gives Lewandowski 99 finishing, 99 shot power, 97 long shots and 91 volleys, making him a perfect 10 out of 10.
The passing, like pace is a bit of a let-down. He still has 89 free kicks and 88 short passing, as well as 83 curve. Wit ha catalyst, Lewandowski gets 89 passing, with 99 free kick accuracy, 90 crossing, 93 short passing, 84 long passing and 88 curve, which can make his passing 9 to 10 out of 10 and also a perfect free kick taker.
89 dribbling on a striker is amazing. It’s pretty much all you need, but then you get to the in-game stats. 96 reactions, 91 ball control, 88 dribbling and 91 composure is perfect for a striker, but then there’s 2 of the most crucial stats, balance and agility. 86 balance is ok for a striker, as they need to stay on their feet, but 80 agility is a bit trash; as it wont allow you to get around defenders easily. Someone could improve this however if they were to apply an engine chem style.
Defending: N/A / 9/10
Defending doesn’t really matter for a striker, except from heading accuracy. This one stat is crucial in the meta, because it decides if you should cross or pass, so having 89 heading accuracy is what makes defending a 9/10.
The physicality on a striker isn’t as important but can still decide if a match will be won or lost. 87 jumping is perfect for Lewa as he’s 6’0” and has 89 heading accuracy. 89 strength is also perfect for a striker, as he can push opposing defenders away. Aggression isn’t as important but 84 is still good enough for a striker. The bad stat for his physicality is stamina, which is 79; as well as the only stat that cant be upgraded by a chem style.
If you can afford the card or can get him into a team, its worth completing. This card, with a catalyst or hunter can be a perfect striker to use in your ultimate team. When I’ve used him with a catalyst, he’s been clinical as a striker in the 4231.
This card seems rather similar to Hallands inform, but also seems rather similar to these list of icons in terms of stats:
Del Piero, Bergkamp, Vieri, Van Basten and Rush (theres key similarities)
Dribbling (for a stirker)
Had some doubts about this card when i saw it but i had alot of sbc fodder and was running a bundesliga squad so why not.
His lack of pace was quickly solved by a hunter chem style. When you pass him the ball and he has even an inch of space to shoot just do it and it will go in 9/10
Corners are incredible, his heading is amazing, he scored 7/8 corners in which he could head the ball.
His passing is alright for some basic hold up play but don't expect to much assists from him which also isn't his game.
I purely used him the way he is meant to be played, push with your wingers and cross it high and he will give you goals. Give him the ball and a yard and he will score.
His price is expensive but if you are lucky like me and have alot of sbc fodder to use on him he is worth it.
- Basic dribbles
- Passing (if you wanna do fancy trough balls)
- Skillful dribbling (isn't his type of game so isn't a big con for me)
Hi ! This is my review for RL9. Before you read take in consideration that i am a division 3 player at the moment and i did not use him in Weekend legue as i mainly play division rivals.
Lewandowski 93 is a very complete striker who can shoot, pass, he turns good with an engine chem style ( he is NOT clunky ) and uses his phyisical stats to push even players like Van Dijk and Varane off the ball, mainly because of his high agression stats.
Ranking in current playerbase ( 21 nov, 2020) :
Currently, Stoichkov Prime is the only player in the game that has similar stats with Lewa 93 if you Filter players by pace, shoot, dribble and phyisical and the only players with higher shooting stats than him are Icons like : Eusebio, Van basten, Puskas, etc. This means he will stay relevant a very long time.
What makes his card so good is his finishing ability inside and outside the box, his finesse shots, his runs, attacking AI and passing ability. His high aggresion stats make him very hard to tackle and that makes him "sticky" as he can easily tackle the defender back after the initial challange
Take in consideration that he does NOT fit the current meta: his pace is not enough for him to constantly escape defenders on counter atack (like Mbappe or Cr7) and not enough to play as a "get in behind" kind of striker. His dribbling does not fit the meta : he cannot turn inside the box like Neymar or Dembele, so using him in WL is not recommended as you will probably have better results playing meta players like dembele, rashford, ben yedder, etc. So take in consideration what game modes you play and how serious is this game to you if you complete this SBC.
For me, he was the striker i needed as i completed him for free with untradeable players and I and also like him IRL.
Finishing inside and outside of the box
Finesse Shots, Volleys, Chip shots
Attacking AI (runs + positioning)
Dribbling : he does not turn like meta players
Pace : not good on counter attacks and cannot escape high pace defenders
Playing him in Weekend League could be problematic
If u can deal having slow strikers ur in luck
- Shooting is unreal finishes everything
- Reactions and ball control
- Passing is very good for a ST
- Quite Dissapointed in his aerial ability but it’s ok
I played this weekend league and thought to myself how boring it is to play with all the players that everyone else were playing. I saw the Lewandowski card and thought to myself that this would be a very fun to use, and I was able to do him for around 150k. I then built a squad around him that included moments forsberg, henrik larsson, and some basic bundesliga players around him.
At first I was very skeptical of my decision. I used him in a 4-2-3-1 but it didn't work out with his lack of pace, and i only managed 1 goal in the first 5 games. I decided to switch around and play him in a 4-1-2-1-2 narrow, because I thought that a second striker that had more pace would be more benificial, and I was so correct. This formation clicked perefectly with Lewandowski. Not only can he score goals and find the perfect run, his passing is suprisingly incredible. He's bagged many asssits to either my CAM or my other ST (Larsson, Forsberg) What I mostly did was use my full backs to cross the ball in. This made my attacking go very fast and easy. A cross in the Lewandowski and he heads into back of the net almost 90% of the time, and if I don't cross it, oh well, he's always there at the perfect moment and with the inredible shooting he has, barely misses a shot. I score so many goals with him and Larsson, but I concede a lot too. But this isn't a problem for me because i find the space I need for Lewandowski to finish it, and it makes up for the goals I concede, by scoring more goals, and believe it or not, I've only lost one game so far with Lewandowski in my team.
Summary: I really think this is one of the best strikers in the game. In my opinion he has to be used in a double striker formation to make up for the lack of pace he has. If you want to have fun, go for him. All the games I played were played in div 1 (2020 + SR) and he almost got me to elite, but I disconnected from the game (typical EA), but I didn't mind since I had so much fun using him. This is definetily a card that I'm gonna use for a good while, until I find a more fun card. If you wanna have fun with the game, go for him.
(Squad I linked is how I play in game)
Dribbling (Suprisingly good, sometimes a bit clumsy)
Pace (Didn't mind too much)
Stamina (Not a super big problem)
