89 - UCL Live
I got him out of the 80+ player pick and he has been a game changer. I play him cdm next to mid Veron and they work extremely well together. I found that Gini was always in the right place at the right time and he was perfect for breaking up attacks and dribbling out of tricky situations. He's probably not worth the value he is at but he is without a doubt one of my favourite players as he fights for the badge. He even scored one or two solo goals at crucial stages which i didn't really expect due to his finishing and shot power. He also claimed a few assists with some lovely through balls to Mane up top. He lasts the full game and can be a very good box to box midfielder.

I was lucky enough to pack Wijnaldum from my Icon Swap packs, and at first I was a bit skeptical about him. At that time I was playing a 352 with him and Kante at CDM. Wijnaldum at CDM was very underwhelming, and I barely saw any of him. His attacking strengths weren't being utilised, even on balanced instruction and not stay back. After playing around 30 games with him at CDM, I changed my formation to a 442 and kept the Kante and Wijnladum duo. Immediately, Wijnladum become 10x the player he was at CM compared to CDM. He is on balanced attack, and he is just everywhere on the pitch. There's really no hidden stats on this card and everything feels like what the stats say. With a shadow, his pace does feel like higher 80s. His 82 positioning meant that he would occasionally make runs into the box, and his 78 finishing and 81 shot power meant that he finished the clear chances. His short and long passing were great, and he rarely missed a pass. His agility at 86 felt like that, he can dribble to get out of tight situations but nothing exceptional. The main part about his dribbling is his 90 balance and 88 reactions meaning that he never fell down making a tackle and had great jockeying. His defense was great but nothing exceptional like Kante. He intercepted some passes, and made some decent tackles. Wijnaldum isn't the strongest due to his height and his 76 strength, and sometimes he would back away from a tackle due to his 77 aggression. He lasted me the whole game with his insane stamina, even with his High/High workrates. Lastly, 4* SM meant I could do all the essential skill moves and 4* WF meant that I could comfortably pass with both of his feet. Overall, if you need a Box to Box midfielder that can attack, pass, dribble, defend, and last you the whole game without any negatives about the card, Wijnaldum is perfect for you, and make sure to play him as a CM, not a CDM or CAM.

I was lucky enough to pack him out of a 81+ upgrade. At this time I played in the 4231 at put him in my squat for kante. He was good maybe not as good as kante as cdm but good.
Then I tried him in 442 und omg he is a beast. I played him on engine. He makes passes that I didn't thought that they're possible. His dribbling feels amazing for a cm that has a defense as good as his and when you need him he will score. His shooting is really nice he has a good finesse, but if you want him to he can nail the ball in the top corner. His 4*4* is also a big + for him. I would say he is one of the best overall cm in the game and underrated in this Fifa. The perfect partner for him in cm is someone who is more defensive or physically or both to stay back while attack. I tried Essien(baby), dos Santos(sbc), kante and Kimmich(sif) . All of them were good expect from kimmch that was to slow in my opinion
