85 - FUT Freeze SBC
5.0
OH.MY.GOD

This card is insane. I know lots of people do not like seeing long reviews so lets get into it. Short and to the point.

Pace is insane

Strength is insane

Defending: interceptions,tackling :insane

Passing:insane

And those are the worse aspects of this card!

So, if you have a bundes team, go for it.

If you have an Austrian team, go for it.

If you have a Leipzig team, go for it.

If you don't have any team at all, go for it anyways.(thats how insane he is)

The Defensive Gullit
By LewanG0ALsky, 21-12-2020

I had recently made a review of how Good Gnabry was, he is an absolute beast and I liked him a lot. And I got really happy because another Bundesliga beast had arrived, of course I’m talking of Laimer. I want so sure at the beginning, exactly like a lot of people that have his doubts about him. Better than Mukiele? Yes, I can confirm you he is much better than Mukiele, but of course, Mukiele was free, you have to pay between 140k to get Laimer. I would say only if you have enough money or fodders, do him, Mukiele isn’t bad and I would only suggest making him if you want to improve your team, but with that money you could improve other positions. Now, let’s talk about Laimer, I like a lot his versatility, he can be a RB without a problem, with an anchor he is an absolute beast. But I change him in game to CDM, because his gold card was broken, but this is just another level. And he can even be a really good CB with anchor, I sometimes change him to CB in last minutes as I have great CM subs but no CB. He can basically be a beast in every defensive position, he won’t fail at any position. And his work rates are perfect for being a beast. I change him in game with Zakaria RTTF to CDM, Zakaria to CB, and Alaba RTTF to RB. Yes, Alaba is left footed but 4* wf is more than enough for being able to play in LB and RB

Really fast

Can play at RB, CDM and CB

Great passing

Dribbling is ok, could be better but he is a defender

He feels like Kante defending

Huge Physicality upgrade which makes him versatile and a beast

Insane work rates

Links with Klostermann, Alaba, Sabitzer, Forsberg

3* wf and skills(if you are used to dribble with defenders)

Price could be high considering Mukiele was free

Expensive but not overpriced

I was predicting a Laimer CB as the daily sbc, and i was slightly surprised when I saw a RB version, as we already have Mukiele from Leipzig at RB. I did this card after some contemplation, shifting Mukiele to CB on 7 chem and Laimer on 10 at RB in a 4-5-1. He is solid as a CDM but definitely better as a RB. Give him an anchor, NOT A SHADOW. NOT EVERYONE NEEDS 99 PACE. Besides, 90 strength, 97 aggression, 92 stamina, high defensive stats, this is an INCREDIBLE card.

Main pro - Physicality

This is an area that sets the good full backs apart from the best. His physicals are brilliant statistically, and in game he plays to his attributes, constantly barging attackers off the ball and never putting in sponge or half hearted tackles.

Defending - This card has far better defensive awareness than many other full backs (86) and I can confidently say he gets caught out of position a lot less than other full backs like Mendy and Semedo.

Dribbling - This card doesn't have a crazy amount of agility, but he can drive the ball forward and beat a couple of attackers with pace.

Passing - Very well rounded passing stats, high in the right areas and good in game. Can play long through balls up the line as well as completing simple short passes and whipping crosses into the box.

Shooting - Obviously his shooting is low, but for a full back it is actually very high. He will probably finish most 1-on-1s for you, if the need ever comes.

Pace - Pace is arguably the most important stat for a full back, and Laimer is not lacking with an anchor or a shadow. His pace and aggression combination means he is an absolute beast in 1v1s with attackers.

Price - Some of you may not be a fan of the hefty price tag, especially as Mukiele already exists, but I can confidently say that Mukiele is an absolute tank on 7 chem at CB with an anchor, so you can link the two, then link Mukiele to Gulacsi or Konate or other French players, like Varane.

3*/3* - Skill moves and weak foot is important on a full back for a lot of people (4*/5* bumps up Ferland Mendy's price massively) but it doesn't matter at all for most, me included. Just note you cannot do skill runs with him, if for some reason you wanted to try that.
