Great Defender

The reason I decided to try him out is that pace boost. We all know Chiellini can put in amazing tackles, so I was very excited how he would play with decent pace.

First of all, I tried him out in that CDM position and later on at CB based on his original position.

We don't have to talk about his defending stats. The small downgrade compared to his gold card isn't noticeable at all. This man right here wins easily at least 9/10 duels. His physical stats on the other hand are great, but not amazing. 80 Stamina in the CDM position? Let's say that: He died near the 75th - 80th minute. Playing him in the CB position, it's not a problem at all.

His passing is decent, but the fact that he only got 65 Vision makes his long passes very inconsistent.

For that reason I would recommend playing him at the CB position. Another reason to do that: His dribbling. Yeah, it's not that great with his height. If you still consider playing him at CDM you have to keep it simple with him. Go for the tackle and pass the ball asap.

The second best thing after his amazing tackles is the pace. Yes. A Chiellini with decent pace is something we didn't expect. And I have to say that his pace with a shadow Chem style is amazing. The interseption reach and his L2 R2 steps are really great. In my first match using him I was Really impressed by how fast the transition of this guy was.

All in all worth the coins.
