The Ginger Genius

Everybody knows how good of a player he was, he is in the top 3 list of best midfielder of all time or maybe the best midfielder of all time? Your favourite midfielder agrees with that and thats a facts.

Why I bought this card

I tried his base and mid version early on this FIFA and I did not like it much so I switched to Pogba instead but when I saw this moment Paul Scholes I really started craving it playing with him and bought it ofc and yes! it really surprised me how good this card is.

Overall

I finally Enjoy playing Paul Scholes on FIFA, I can´t believe it. His passing is out of this world, his long shots are crazy and he feels nice on the ball, what more can you ask of for a midfielder? Good defending maybe? yeah he is very solid at the back with 83 interceptions, wins alot of balls and does the job defensively.

Formation & position

He plays as RCM or Atacking CM in 4321 (I put a link with my squad in this review) i have tried some other formations like 442 4231 or 5212. I did not like him in 5212 he was a bit lost there in the CM role and he is flexible enough to carry the attack as CAM in that formation but in every other formation I mentioned he thrived as CAM in 4231 or as a attacking CM I thinks attacking CM or box to box CM is his best position. There he will shine.

Chemstyle

I tried Hunter, Shadow, Engine, Finisher and Finisher is his best chemstyle, without a doubt.

with Hunter he lacks dribbling

with Shadow you are ruining him cuz he does not get extraordinary better at defending because his stats are already too low to get better with a chemstyle

with Engine he is ok but I would rather use Basic, He already has great passing and you don´t see a big diffrence in his pace all you is doing is upgrading his balance dribbling and agility a little bit

with Finisher you are giving him big boost in Agility and Dribbling while maxing out his shooting, I guess you could use Artist if you would rather max his passing but for me finisher is the best chemstyle by a mile.

Value for coins

He was 750k when I bought him, thats a lot of coins, you could buy RTTF Pogba for that price and if you care about your coins I would rather buy Pogba but if you really want that ginger genius I would buy him you will lose some coins yeah cuz he only got in packs few weeks ago, but you will enjoy FIFA, that I can guarantee

Insane passing - Long or short he can pin the ball whereever you want
Long Shots & volleys - you can NOT force it but when you get in that long shot or volley situation outside the box.. that is a climax
Attacking AI - He is always somewhere where I can find him near the box and ready to hammer it in or assist the next man
Outside the foot shot - This is a great trait for a card who only has 3* WF
Stamina - He never stops running like Kante
Aggression - He is pretty small but he fights for the badge with 89 aggression and dives to tackle trait
On the ball - he feels very nice on the ball, especially with the Finisher chemstyle

His height, 5´7 - he is very small and that can be a problemin this game for a CM, he cannot shield the ball very well like Pogba does so he will get pushed off the ball if you cannot be distribute the ball very quickly
3*SM 3*WF - tbh FIFA could give him 4* WF but it is what it is. He got that good of a passing stats that the WF is not a problem when passing but it is when in front of the goal
Acceleration - He was not the fastest.. ik but this is the only stat I would want to increase, not by much but EA could easily give him like 78-81
