Serge Gnabry FOF 93 Review

Let me be honest with you, I was quite disappointed when I got Gnabry in the guaranteed FOF pack, but after 20 games in WL , my face is like ''what the hell is this monster''. He is amazing, strong ,agile, deadly in front of goal, even with his left.

His price now goes around 315k on PC, I would definetly recommend him, but always in 10 chem. In 7 chem doesn't seem like himself.

Anyways, what a card, hope Germany goes far and this monster gets even better =))

Since it seems like Gnabry has no reviews on here as of yet, I took it upon myself to provide some insight into how he performs and sadly, i found out that he wasn't all that. Even though his numbers for me were good, with 26 goals and 15 assists in 27 matches either at CAM or RST in a 4-1-2-1-2 narrow, I was left unimpressed with the way he performed on the pitch.

First of all, the most noticeable thing about Gnabry's card is the dribbling. Perhaps it's because of his Unique bodytype, but his dribbling is really incosistent; sometimes he does incredibly fast and sharp turns, only to be followed by a horribly long touch that messes up the whole play. Because of that, I think he's suited much more to a pass-and-go playstyle. If I enjoyed one thing about his dribbling though, it was the "sticky" trait that Mbappe and Neymar are known for. He actually seems to have it as well, even though it's not as prominent as those 2, and it massively helped to bail him from the bad situations that his first touch especially put him in.

His pace is a bit weird as well. It's not bad by any means, but it doesn't feel as fast as he should. Even with a Hunter, which brings him at 94 sprint speed, he was often getting caught from behind. That's not necessarily his fault though, that's just how the game works. Gnabry's acceleration is very good though, and that at least helps him put some distance between himself and the defenders, although not for too long, because of the aforementioned sprint speed.

His shooting was really good for a change, it's probably the only thing about Gnabry that I can genuinely say is really up to par. Left, right, in the box he finished almost everything from all sorts of angles. He also has a nice finesse shot, but it's not as consistent as Dybala's, Robben's, Messi's etc.

I'm not gonna talk about his passing, because passing in this game is absolutely horrendous. It's honesly up to the FIFA Gods if your pass reaches its target or not, and all I can say is that Gnabry didn't escape their wrath either.

His physical presence is nothing special, but as I said before, him having the "sticky" really helps in 1v1s.

Obviously not gonna talk about defending, since that's not what you're buying him for.

Overall, even though it hurts to say it, Gnabry's card was simply average. His 2 positives, the shooting and the stickiness, are not enough to offset the other aspects of his card. Maybe some upgrades would help him, but I'm not planning on waiting for them, I'd rather play some other games than FIFA at this point in time. Anyway, at Gnabry's price, you can find way better options like FB Atal (even on 7 chem) which is a player I'm even now trying to figure out how to bring back in my squad. Another comparison I see is Gnabry vs FB Reus, and my answer is Reus without a shred of doubt.
