I saw some positive feedback on the baby Veron and had some cash spare after packing VVD, so thought id get my first icon of the year. If you want the perfect midfield balance in the middle of the park, look no further. I was enjoying using Fabinho on 21 but this guy is like him on rockets, he has a phenomenal amount of presence and is well rounded in all departments. When sweeping up in the centre he intercepts passes with some sort of bionic leg with a 5ft radius and hits shots so hard that you need a tifo in front of the stand to protect the fans if he misses (he rarely does). He is a very good price in relation to comparable cards and well worth the coins.

Hi everyone, decided to share my feedback to this card as I think it got much less attention that it deserves.
I packed middle Veron once in a while few years ago, and since then, he's in my squad every year! Love to link him with Gomez / Messi, but this year I still can't afford it :) I was so happy to see him in SBC, and without any doubt completed in using N/T players from the club. And... I couldn't be more happy to see that he is still a meta player! What makes him so good on the field is first of all his PRESENCE, he is everywhere in the field! I play with him in different formations - CDM in 4231 next to RTTF Zakaria and CAM in 433 (4), and in both roles he is doing great job. I feel sorry for not gving him more chances to play as a CAM, because his shooting is just beautiful. AFAIR, he never missed any chance been given on the field. Perfect long shots, free kicks and penalties. Speaking about the defence, with Shadow chem style I have absolutely no issues and complaints as well. He easily win headers. His merely perfect passing, especially long passing, is very helpful for creating moments.
Overall, I think this Veron card has a great price/quality balance. I highly recommend this icon to everybody.
Composure, positioning, tackling, long passing, long shots.
Feels a bit clunky when getting tired. Can miss fast players 1/1 during counterattacks.
Where do I start with someone so cheeky. He is nothing short of a a rock solid CM and not only that you can slap a shadow on him and he becomes a beast of a CDM!
He's a brick wall. Hes not only a brick wall he can also chip in by scoring an absolute screamer or a free kick with so much power on it will break thee back of the net.

Man..... Veron Veron Veron. As soon as I saw the SBC and how cheap I could acquire this card for I knew he was a must for my team. I played him as a LCM in a 433 (4) formation and I applied a powerhouse on him to improve defence and passing and man he was insane. His in game instructions were default for everything except for Interceptions (I had him on aggressive interceptions).
Defending: Wow just wow. Veron is an absolute rock in the midfield and with the aggresive interceptions instructions he bulldozes through players to make critical midfield interceptions. Perhaps what I like most about Veron is when he makes a tackle he wins the ball. Most players in this game make tackles however due to EA cheese the opposition doesn't love the ball and instead just stumbles and keeps running. This isn't the case with Veron, when he tackles he wins that ball dude.
Heading is another big bonus for Veron as he is 6'1 and is a presence in the midfield. He is a reliable tower in the midfield and will win 9/10 aerial duels.
Passing: Through balls for daysssssss. This may be due to the powerhouse chemistry style but wow man, Veron is a master at threading the ball through to my wingers and striker. His through balls perfectly balance precision and power to ensure that the ball is always in a dangerous position for the opposition defence. Veron has solid short pass as well.
Physical: This stat is mainly one of the reasons he is so good in defence. His strength and height combine well to be a presence in the midfield.
Dribbling: Veron won't dribble through players like a Neymar or Messi but if you want to play him at CM his not really meant to do that. The best way to use Veron's dribbling is to pass him the ball and use the near dribble trigger and this will use his strength and height to shoulder players off the ball and then just use Veron as a distribution player.
Value for coins: For 400k (give or take) I think Veron is a great midfield option. I have Kante in my team as well and IMO I believe Veron outclasses him across the midfield.
Shooting: Look, don't buy Veron expecting him to shoot like Lampard or Gerrard but he will score the chances you expect him to score. Just don't expect any worldies.
Stamina: Because I use Veron with aggresive interceptions he is usually gassed out by the 70-75th minute. Maybe this will be different if any readers use him on balanced interceptions however I think that aggresive interceptions is one of the most important factors in him being so good.
Pace: Veron isn't rapid however his not a slug. His pace is how you would expect it to be for a 74 Pace player.
I had 200k to spend, and I didn´t even think twice, I found him a beast, and he lived up to my expectations. If you are not a meta player, you will love this card. For some people, 74 pace does not sound attractive, but he is really a good option if you want a cheap icon. Has got excellent vision, is very good from all kind of set-pieces and with a shadow he is really good defensivly.
Really good long passes;
Excellent vision;
Finishes well;
Brings you safety in defense;
His pace is more than enough;
His heading feels more than 69 for me.
Sometimes misses simple-looking passes but nothing very important;
His shooting from outside of the box is more than decent, but maybe not 91, I'd say 85
