Got lucky and packed De Bruyne from an untradeable objectives pack during early access and so far, this guy is absolute class. He is the perfect CAM for FIFA. Pace, power, finesse, he has it all. He has more than enough speed to run past defenders. His high dribbling stats and 4* skills allow him to maneuever around almost every midfielder/defender in the early game. Match his 5* weak foot and tremendous shooting stats and De Bruyne can score from anywhere, anytime. 10/10 passing. Even his defending is decent cuz of his good pace, agility, and incredible stamina. I truly believe this card is one of the best CAMs you can get at the moment. World Class - FIFA did him right this time round…

IF 95-KDB was my first big pack in FIFA 20 so imagine my surprise when I pack KDB in one of my first packs for 21. He played over 600 games with me in 20 so I was excited to see if he would live up to the bill in 21 and he does not disappoint. I played him in the CAM in a 4231 and he was back to his old tricks. While he was good in the same position (until near the end of 20), he's even better now because of his ability to hit those outside the box shots that were not really as present in 20. If you get him a clean line of sight at the edge of the box, all you have to do is watch as the finesse curls it in to to the top corner. 5* WF of course, but it really shows when you need to release a through ball (which is OP in the beginning of the game) to a winger or the striker. Doesn't matter the angle, he's able to deliver.

The Belgium links are a little tougher, but with so many good players in the PL, you should have no trouble linking him. I put a Finisher on him because I have him in the CAM but I'm sure any of the other chems with speed boosts would work too. His ability to be above average to excellent at almost all aspects of the game make him usable in CAM, CM, or even CDM if you really want to. I feel he's wasted sitting deep but to each their own. Need a killer pass? KDB is your guy. Need a late arriving midfielder in the box? KDB is your guy. Need to whip in a good cross? KDB is your guy.

You get the point. He's the swiss army knife of your squad.

As you can tell though, he's not going to be out there 'agile' dribbling anyone to death. It's serviceable and his great ball reaction stats means his first touch will usually set him up for success. He can feel a little sluggish compared to your nimble dribblers in and around the box so he's more useful as a 1 or 2 touch kind of guy when the defenders are tight. Nonetheless, he's so good at every other aspect of the game that his occasional dribbling snafus are forgiven.

KDB was the only player I really wanted and once I had enough coins I bought him straight away, for $285k he was kinda over priced but oh well. He can do practically anything, the 5 star week foot combined with his shooting and passing makes him very good in and around the box, I've scored plenty of long range finesse shots with both left and right foot. His main stat is his passing, I used to have wingers in my team and he would switch the ball so well and always find my wingers, now I play with two strikers and he feeds through balls very well.

He can head the ball, dribble well, has good strength and lasts the whole game very well.

The only downside I have found is his one-on-one finishing, besides that he is rock solid and if you need a CAM or even CM I'd go for him. Had hunter on him too, just needed a bit more pace.

WHAT A PLAYER! Packed De Bruyne, Modric, Jesus, Moura and Varane from untradeable packs which you can see in my team. These packs were from milestone objectives and 80+ player picks. Now onto the review. So first of all let me say that his stats in his 11 rivals games do not show his ability because I have been using him as a CM instead of a CAM in my 4-4-2. The most notable aspects of De Bruyne are his dribbling, passing and shooting. He has brilliant left stick dribbling along with 4* skill moves which allow versatility in the way you dribble with him. His passing is the best I've used so far this year and unlike other years, the passing stats genuinely matter as accurately aiming your passes can be very challenging. His shooting is brilliant, especially from long distances. The 5* star weak foot allows you to shoot on both feet (obvious I know.) his defending and pace are solid but nothing special. I put the backbone chemistry style on him as I don't have a shadow and it has worked just fine. Even with the backbone chem style, he can still outpace most defenders. his defending is certainly nothing special, but he can make the odd tackle when it is needed and as long as you have someone beside him in midfield to win more difficult tackles and cover runs, you should be fine. His strength is pretty poor, however for a CM/CAM, strength is not needed. His stamina is absolutely great allowing him to perform brilliantly all game.

I packed KDB in a double 81+ upgrade and because i have the Swedish Maestro Emil Forsberg moments as a Cam and he is just amazing in this game. So i decided to play KDB as a CDM i put a shadow on him and after that it was just to play. I used stay back while attacking on Kevin and he did the job and took me to gold 1(Lets see if i reach Elite 3) KDB did the job as a CDM very well and he has so good ball control and passing so he not lose the ball and that is very important as a CDM imo. He has good stamina and other key stats that a CDM needs.

Pace: 9/10

With a shadow he has enough pace to play as a CDM but i think he is a bit slow for CAM.

Shooting: 8/10

I shoot most of the shoot outside the pen area and he did strike sometimes but i was not a WOW feeling

Passing:10/10

He has perfect passing for a CDM that should start counter attacks or just build upp the game

Dribbling: 10/10

For a CDM he has very nice dribbling he feels to clumsy for CAM but perfect for CDM

Defending: 8/10

He has decent defending not a WOW but enough for dis stage of the game

Physical: 8/10

He won the most of the challenges but sometimes he is a bit Weak but i will say that is fine
