Having him at CAM meant I could fire off more shots with him and let me tell you, that's what you wanna do with him. It says in his stats he's right footed with a 5* Weak Foot but no matter which foot you use its going to hit the back of the net because he's just that good. Inside the box, left foot, right foot, power or finesse, doesn't matter, don't care. And outside the box...

I used Del Piero with Catalyst to boost his pace and passing and feel as though it gives the card perfect balance to play as a CAM. I like to play short and quick passes while attacking and don't rely on sheer pace in my strikers. I focus on his passing and especially his shooting.I don't really notice his low balance all that often so I wouldn't be too worried about it.

When it comes to dribbling i can tell you hes seriously one of the best on the game his agility and balance makes it so hard for defenders to take away the ball because he always seems to find a way through gaps I didnt even know existed

I personally would have taken Del Piero any day of the week for my swaps based on my experience of using him, but it all comes down to how you play. I love using Del Piero, I think he's alot of fun to use so I wouldn't hesitate taking him for my swaps.

INTRO: So it all started off when I first packed him in my Base/Mid Icon pack from Icon Swaps 1. When I got him I was both happy and hyped since I needed an Icon Striker to link my team up. Then I tried him out at Striker and all I can say is "Wow", this guy is an Amazing card in this game.

Right foot, left foot and it goes into the net. His shooting is amazing, even with an Engine chemstyle it's still good enough. That 5* weak foot really makes your opponent fear you when Del Piero is infront of the goal. You're just too unpredictable with this player. He is very fast with a chemstyle that boost his pace. His passing is magnificent and the best thing is that he can pass with both feet without any errors. The dribbling is insane. Many people is doubting his balance, but the truth is that with an engine at least you won't recognize it at all actually. He feels comfortable with the ball at his feet and with 4* skills you can pull out some decent skills. High/medium workrate is also the best workrates in my opinion and Del Piero got that.

I played him in a 4-2-2-2 formation on the Right Striker spot next to my Joao Felix POTM which is probably my favourite Sbc player this year. They have an amazing connection and teamwork together. But this review is about Alessandro Del Piero. I really recommend you guys to play him next to an other player upfront. He performs better in that way and he can provide with a lot of assists while scoring outrageus goals. My opponent is always fearing this front line when they come up against me. They are just working wonders together and for sure Del Piero can play with other attackers aswell. Now let's go in to the overall stats:

PACE, 9,4/10: Like I said he feels really fast, especially with the ball at his feet. I used an engine on him and he had 93 pace, but I felt sometimes that he was even faster. That's probably because of his movement off the ball. He usually finds the free gaps and spaces between the defenders, which I really love about this card.

SHOT, 9,5/10: The shots are perfect. Power, accuracy, chip shots, volleys, short range and long range is all good. Also he got the 5* weak foot which make you unpredicatble so that can help you to put some more shots behind the net. Also I feel that the shot power can sometimes be lacking, maybe because he doesn't got any specific shooting traits. But this is only in rare chances, so for the most part you wont recognize it at all. Finesse shots is incredible with the 94 curve stat. He scores pretty much everything.

PASS, 9,6/10: The passing is one of the absolute main things. This is probably the best passing i've tried on a striker. His passes always find their way through the teammates. As said he has insane curve, you can make through balls with him from both short and long range. He is basically a playmaker in the striker roll and as well a monster of a goalscorer at the same time.

DRIBBLE, 9,4/10: His dribbling is actually ridiculously good. I know many are doubting his balance, but as said you won't recognize that and he will not dissapoint. He still has 91 agility with an engine which will make up for the "lack of balance". He feels comfortable with the ball at his feet and he can for sure take on your opponent without any major issue. 4* skills is also more than approved and you can pull out some very decent skill moves. 88 composure will not disappoint in any circumstance, dribbling, finishing or passing, no worries at all.

DEFENCE, N/A: I can't judge his defensive skills, i haven't tried them out and what's even the point? :D

PHYSICAL, 5,5/10: He has good stamina which will keep him fit for pretty much the whole match. Apart from that i can't find any strengths. He is basically not a physical player. He won't win really any 50/50s but sometimes he actually still keeps the ball when getting bodied by an defender.

OUTRO: I had fun writing this review for you guys and i hope you've enjoyed it! Del Piero 87 is a very fun icon card and i love using him. I think that Del Piero fans won't get disappointed with this card. 970k sounds much and it is indeed. Honestly i would recommend you to save that big amount of coins to something else!
