Packed him a while back in an 81+ player pick, and obviously was gassed- a 330k Premier League CB from a fodder SBC
While he's undeniably a very good CB, he's probably worth about 150k, not the 330k that he commands- the price is all down to being French and Prem.
Pace
Good but not amazing; on Shadow he'll catch up to most attackers
Defending
Good, strong tackles and good defensive positioning. Again, not the best I've used but still very good strong tackles.
Particularly good at rushing forward to tackle / intercept to cut off attacks early, something many lazier CBs do not do.
Physical
10/10 attribute. Feels very strong and due to his height, great in the air. Stamina isn't the best but not really found it to be an issue
Passing
Very poor tbh, most CBs of his rating have far superior passing so this is a big let down
Dribbling
Again poor. Very clunky and poor overall
Shooting
Poor but not a concern really, he's a CB after-all
Overall
Overall a quality fast, hard tackler who's great in the air. Very good at rushing forward to cut off attacks early, preventing a lot of potentially dangerous counter attacks nicely and has the physicality to hold off almost any attacker. However, with very bad passing and 80 stamina, he's not worth the 330k price he's been sitting at for a couple months now.
Quick
Very physical
Hard tackler
Good at stopping attacks early on
Very bad passing
Bad dribbling
Gets a lot of yellow and red cards due to his proactive and physical play
i packed this konate out of a party bag a while back and decided to use him in my team. he was really good for me, supplying links in my team and being good in game. his defending, physical and pace are all really good, while his passing and dribbling are alright for a cb. i have also tried prime desailly and i have to say, this konate feels a lot better at dribbling and feels a lot faster than desailly.
pace (decent for a cb)
links (varane/kimpembe partnership with him if you're a rat)
This guy is seriously one of the biggest frauds I've ever used on FIFA 22. I played him next to Collins in a 4231. I don't usually write reviews, but I've literally written one here so that none of you guys buy him. Let's start with the benefits. He's absolutely massive in game and gets a ton of blocks as well as being absolutely dominant in the air. If he goes in for a tackle straight on or he's on your shoulder, he's going to win the ball. His passing was decent, nothing to rave about, but he wasn't missing passes left and right either. His pace stat is 100% fake, thats like 70 Pace not 83. Even with a shadow on 10 chem he was getting lapped by players like Ben Yedder, Icardi, and others. If you're playing Mbappe or Vini, thats a gg. He turns like an absolute truck too, so if you miss a tackle it generally means he's out of the play. I would stay away 100%, go use Tuanzebe if you're on a budget, or just get TOTY Dias or Rudiger. They are miles better than this guy.
I've used many CBs, but Konate is by far the worst. He's slow, physically and mentally. He watches passes go by him, loses headers to 5'6 players and gets out-muscled by practically every card. I picked him up for 323k and used him in 2 elite matches and he was the reason I lost both. I've never subbed a defender off (unless red cards) before using konate, he cost me 4 goals off his horrible defensive awareness in 2 games. He feels okay on the ball, but it doesn't really matter when he can't defend as a centerback. I paired him up with TOTYHM Rudiger (By far the best CB in the game) and I was defending as if I was a man down. Previously I had been using Ndicka and he is definitely a lot better than Konate, and I barely conceded, maybe a maximum of a goal or two per game, now I concede 3-4 a game because of this fraud.
I know you're probably reading this thinking I'm lying or exaggerating, but you can see for yourself and throw 300+k down the drain.
