Player Review
87 - PL POTM SBC
Overall a solid keeper and well worth the price. Review is based off of playing him on Basic Chem Style
Diving
Saves pretty much every shot that requires him to dive. I found this to be a real big issue with his base card, but not at all with the POTM card. Clean, reactive diving, so you concede a lot less stupid longshots and the likes.
Reflexes
Reflexes are good overall, he concedes a lot less silly, near-post shots or weak tap ins than most keepers but he definitely has a serious weakness- in 1v1 situations when you call him to rush out and smother a player Peter Schmeichel style, he rarely gets to it.
Having used Numbers Up Ter Stegen and IF Alban Lafont extensively before, this feels like a big step down since they almost always saved shots in these types of situations.
I'd advise not rushing him out as much as other keepers despite his speed, and just rely on his diving or reflex saves from more of a distance.
Positioning
I've found his positioning to be good, overall. usually in the right position at the right time and never found him to make positioning errors. Not quite as perfect positioning as Alisson or Ter Stegen, but good nonetheless
Speed
Feels very fast in game. 64 Acceleration on Basic is quick, but he feels a lot faster than that. Combined with Saves with Feet trait this is a real win
Handling
Handling isn't great but not terrible either. I've never conceded because of a handling error, but he does still push the ball back in tor play, or out for a corner a lot when other keepers would catch it cleanly. However, I've found a lot of keepers do this even with 99 diving on a Chem Style Boost, so its certainly not a dealbreaker
Kicking
Kicking feels a lot better than expected. I though it'd feel terrible but its perfectly usable. Again he doesn't have the exceptional distribution of Neuer or Ter Stegen or Ederson, but it's certainly not a problem either. With a Chem Style like Wall or Shield it'd probably be as good as anyone
Other
6ft4, Saves with Feet Trait and his agility when making saves are a massive plus.
Overall
Overall, a very good solid keeper at a very good price; makes far more saves than most and used correctly can be the difference in a tight game.
Top Notch Diving
Good agility and reflexes to save low shots- something far higher rated keepers like TOTY Donnarumma struggle with
Good positioning
Height
Saves with Feet Trait
Sometimes lapse in 1v1 situations
Handling could be better, though it's not a deal breaker
