Player Review

91 - TOTS
4.0
AJAX WONDERKID
By RuThiX36, 04-05-2022

So the other day I hopped on a TOTS train and wanted to get myself some new acquisitions to see what the fuss was all about. At first I had rushed to Futbin, just as I always do during these promos, and checked the roster with new beefed-up TOTS players in there and, having scoured the list more thoroughly, I was overjoyed to see Zaha and Antony included. I simply can not resist a 5-star skiller when I see one (or two), so I hurried onto the transfer market and a couple of moments later I fitted them both into my starting eleven.

The gameplay was a bit heavy since it was Friday night, just a couple of hours after TOTS release but nonetheless I was thrilled to test out the first batch of TOTS cards, expectations really high. In the end I was able to produce some wizardry, so make sure you check out the video under the review.

I played Antony in 4-3-2-1 as a right forward, in 4-2-3-1 as a RAM and in 3-5-2 as a right striker. I used deadeye chemstyle, it seemed the only logical option for me, pace on this card is nearly maxed out and I needed more of a shooting and passing boost. Now from hindsight I feel like maestro chemstyle would have suited my playstyle better, maybe I would have hit those green-timed volleys and long shots way more often.

4 hours later I realised that Antony TOTS card is good enough to play on the wing as long as you always have a teammate ready nearby (I would not rely on his long passing that much if I were you, though).

From my experience using this card I also realised that it is not quite good enough to play up front as a striker because of 3* weak foot and low shooting stats. I mean, with this type of card you expect to have fun and score a fancy goal far more often than I actually did. He still produced some flashy moments, but they became more scarce the longer I played because of some good old dynamic-difficulty-adjustment kicking in).

Overall TOTS Antony was a nice card but definitely the highlight of the day for me was using PIM Pirlo, whom I had not had a chance to test out before and whom I will certainly review in the near future.

Antony

the dictionary has just changed; Antony now on means class and fun.let me just say... since the beginning of the year i ve started collecting all possible Netherlands/eredivise waiting for an Antony special card. surprisingly there are now tons of good eredivise cards to be played with him, unfortunately most of them playing in the same role. (neres which is very similiar and also berghuis after the latest...

worth it!

Well first of all... this is my first review so dont expect essay. So I bought Antony cause he looked good and he was pretty cheap and I got more than I paid for. His dribling is just insane and pace too. I am not very good at doing skills so I am glad that he can just run past defenders like nothing. The most similar card to him is fut fantasy Gelson Martins, but he is three times more expensive. I think his only we...

Don't be afraid to use him

At the start of Fifa 22 I've used him in a budget squad with a complete Ajax right side, and while I was learning the game I used him a lot but I was not that good in general yet. Now I've packed a whole lot of players and have a pretty good squad with Maradona and CR7 so forgot about him. Now I had to use him to complete the Ajax objective and he surprised me and my opponents. I've matched him with RTTK Gravenberch and whi...
