Not the hidden gem I hoped for

After having packed Rijkaard out of my icon pack, I had mixed feeling. My defense was already pretty good, and Rijkaard didn't seem like the best central back (which is how I played him in-game), but as an Ajax supporter I thought it would be fun to include him in the team and swap him out for Tapsoba. I'm in the elite division and that's where I tested him out. He started great, as we won our first game, with an assist from Rijkaard, thanks to a long ball. However, as I continued to play with him I started to notice more and more annoying mistakes. After having playing in elite division, I went to play my weekend league with him. Rijkaard with a shadow is sometimes a bit too slow against those meta attackers, such as Mbappe and Vinicius. It might have to do with my high line, high pressure tactics (352 in-game), however Rijkaard sometimes got the ball and lost it immediately due to poor ball control. His interceptions were poorly for me too, as he didn't intercept balls close to him most of the times and if he did, his poor ball control sometimes lost him the ball right after. However, he feels pretty good when manually defending with him and his standing tackles are pretty good. When he is on the ball, his passes are pretty good too. However, he is sadly just not the defender for me and I preferred to play with Tapsoba instead. He might be a better CDM, but I haven't tried him there at all.
