Loves to go for a stroll

I thought I struck gold when I pulled Mid Maldini from an icon player pick right before the start of TOTY, but oh how wrong I could be.

On the face of the card, it looks like Maldini would be an incredible defender like he has been for many years (and rightly so). For me, that has not been the case. He went straight into my squad, replacing another fantastic centre back in Thiago Djalo and the goals started rolling in.

It took me a while to figure out where the problem was, as when I got Maldini involved he seemed to be doing great, hitting his tackles and not missplacing passes. When I started paying more attention to him I noticed he was all over the pitch, sometimes playing CDM, Right back or hugging Cordoba. He would leave massive holes in my defense pretty much every game.

As of now, I'll be putting a 1.3 million centre back on my reserves looking to get Djalo back into the squad.
